Very nice Vlog. I think one can control better temperature on a gas stove vs induction. Roti and paratha cooks better on gas. We have difficulty in getting good tea on an induction stove (based on my 40 years of cooking 😜). Plus utensils burns less using gas cooktop. Glad to see Aimee still enjoying her Lego classes. Gas stoves emit nitrogen dioxide, which is not good for the human respiratory system and can lead to asthma in long run, especially in countries where our houses are closed all the time. Fire needs oxygen to burn, so it also degrades the quality of indoor air. That is why historically people only used electric or induction stoves in these countries. We all want to take our culture and things we are familiar with, to another country, but sometimes we all forget that there is a reason for everything. Gas stoves have some benefits over induction/electric for sure like efficiency, ease of use etc, but we gave priority to air quality and decided to go with induction for this reason. If one chooses to use fire one, it’s very important to open windows when you cook, which is so hard in winters and especially on days like this week. P.S. - I do miss the heat control of fire burning stoves for sure, I am not sure if it makes the food taste different but it makes cooking process convenient for sure.

I love induction its safe and easy to clean. If it doesnt have vessel on it it will shut off so its safe. Heats faster and no difference in taste. Make sure it's induction appliance and not coil or hot plate.

How much tadka and all we do for our flavourful food no matter what type of stove we have it does get dirty always and need regular cleaning . I also only like gas range in my home but I clean it everyday without fail and to keep the shine of the grates I always wash it with regular soap and water and never leave it wet as it can rust and after drying I take some coconut oil in a tissue paper and grease it fully and it keeps the shine .

@ yes to me also , I learned it recently from a cleaning channel , she said any cooking oil will work so coconut oil also can be used for cooking so I just use that.

One way to manage morning tea is to delay it. Have your juice in morning and pack chai for Amit in thermos and he can have it after 1 hour after he reaches home!! We try to delay the caffeine in the day too. It’s hard sometimes but a way to manage it whatever works for you !!
