Just for your knowledge, if you live 20 consecutive years in Canada (without leaving Canada for more than 6 months in a year) than you will get 60% of your OAP and CPP in India direct deposit to Indian Bank or you can choose Canadian Bank.

I guess it's not correct to leave Canada but it's wise to keep children atleast until they complete their 10 th or 8th schools in India . Not because of education but to be street smart . No matter what we think but India can make a child wiser in aspect of people cheating on each other .

East or West, India is the Best. I am in Canada from 2000. Citizen from 2004. India is growing exponentially. Try getting a job here. Kam Kamao but Family ke saath waqt bitao. Family is not growing young. Parents are in the stage of leaving the world. They need you now. Not Later. However. Money is an imp factor. If you have money here. Paid home, less money earned is also enough. As long as you can go back and forth to meet your kids all along. India Rules. MY twins go to university this year. I spent 18 years getting them prepared. Now is the time to live my life, I am 52, here is the best I feel in India. Mumbai can give you what no other country city or continent can give you. Try it.

Do you know Katrina Kaif? She is living in india with all her sisters and mum. I know many people who left canada and never back to canada. Your big house got no worth when 8 months in a year you can't enjoy due to weather. You are emotional about your kid's future...but I can guarantee you that if she lived in india or dubai for 2 consecutive months she will not like to come back to Canada. Also, don't think too much about the money. I am sure you can earn money in Canada after 10 years but I would suggest you to go back to dubai or india and live there few years.

To your point yes Canada has old age swcurities but without good healthcare and the lifestyle we have, what is the life expectancy. i would rather enjoy my today than think about tommorow. Also you don't pay flat 50% as capital gain tax, it depends on tax bracket depending on profit you got from property. For example, 100000 CAD profit the tax will be around 17500 CAD without any cost of selling. If you add cost of selling, the tax will be lower.

i actually cant believe u guys came out exactly my thoughts we had same issue , slogged here for 15 years in UK coz it takes more then 5-10 years overall by the time you become citizen student then student work permit and 5 years Indefinite leave then wait for citizenship and still cant call parents .. and now for 3 years we were planning should we stay or go back to India. then you start thinking about your kids and we thought the same 1st generation in new country will always suffer and mid 40s you are in dilema should you now go back and relax n reap rewards of hard work or still stay here bad weather (not as bad as canada but dull, no sunlight n so on) and hope your kids have better life while you stay here. Another prob like you mention is the stress of starting everything from zero whether its Dubai or India . We thought of Dubai but its not cheap either

Good 1. I am in Australia since 2004. Canada is similar apart from weather. Post covid thought of going back is bothering me but to be frank now kids won't cope with mean nasty cut throat world in India. For us it's emotional n easy but for kids not so much. I hate snow n rain so Australia is way better than Canada in that sense. I don't think it's practical to keep moving tents as grass always looks greener on the other side. Better to stay in Australia or in your case Canada than India. If you hate weather you can choose Australia as moving BTW OECD nations is not hard . Most of my friends 95% don't even think about moving back so I think I took the right call in 2004 to come to Australia than Canada or US. Good on you guys for logical discussion. Good luck.

Bang on you mentioned lot of points which are limitations of being in Canada, like being away from family, obviously at one point you can afford only one grand parents since ticket prices and insurance is a huge cost now, inflation is at peak, I love to live in Canada specially in summers 😂 weather and medical systems are really big limitation. I have a toddler and she cannot play outside in winters. Have seen people moving to the USA specially second generation of immigrants due to more opportunities in the US. Good research! Keep moving! Love from 🇨🇦

A lot of kids play outside. They wear their winter clothes of course. Also, it’s cold but then one has to dress up accordingly.

@@marvic76 : I know that but in comparison to summer its less. It also depends on area, I live in apartment so the near by park is full in summer not winters. When its sunny in summer the vibe is totally different.

@@JP-fd9ym , yes but that is the case everywhere . You will not find kids playing in the monsoon as much as you do in the summer. That’s how life is

I am Bilal. I spent only 2 years in Dubai from 2016 to 2018. Right now, I'm coming to Canada. But, but, but in sha Allah Dubai phir se zindagi rahi to zaroor jaoon ga with family, chahe sirf aik saal k liye hi kyun na jaoon. I want to relive all those moments of breezy windy summers, big metropolitan city feel, metro, chappe chappe pe restaurants, 1 dirham chaye with rainbow milk, and the uber-rich feel of Dubai's grandiose buildings, roads, cars, and malls. Bachta kuch nahi wahan agar family bhi saath rakhe banda, but still its worth an experience and memories.

Hey Shilpa, we also have similar dilemma but as you guys said, for now we are more inclined towards Canada. Also I heard little bit of information about selling the investment property and tax implications on that. It would be helpful if you can make a dedicated video on selling a home and all the expenses related to that. I have seen many videos of buying a new home, but many for selling a house. Thanks in advance! Lots of Love to Amy!

All points are apt Shilpadi specially the healthcare points - the way you suffered being a healthcare employee, nobody would suffer like that in India...I was alone and suffering from chicken pox in a different state other than my hometown in India - I realised it was so painful when parents couldn't reach me or I couldn't reach my parents and that is Canada
