East or West, India is the Best. I am in Canada from 2000. Citizen from 2004. India is growing exponentially. Try getting a job here. Kam Kamao but Family ke saath waqt bitao. Family is not growing young. Parents are in the stage of leaving the world. They need you now. Not Later. However. Money is an imp factor. If you have money here. Paid home, less money earned is also enough. As long as you can go back and forth to meet your kids all along. India Rules. MY twins go to university this year. I spent 18 years getting them prepared. Now is the time to live my life, I am 52, here is the best I feel in India. Mumbai can give you what no other country city or continent can give you. Try it.

As someone new to this channel, I appreciate the video and personal insights. I’ve lived and worked across the UK, India, Middle East, NZ and Singapore. I can personally attest that there are significant opportunities, personal and professional, in being a global nomad. This not only includes exploring significant tax and investment opportunities, but also raising children in a culturally diverse environment (without a single country or ethnicity bias). A lot of folks solely focus on the “zero tax” environment in the Middle East. I’d argue that this should rather be based on what geo allows you the best earning potential, net of taxes (ie, keep the most in your pocket). I wouldn’t like to be “bound” to any one country (personal opinion) based on travel privileges, healthcare or social security/ pension, many of which might or might not exist years down the line given the incredible debt burden most of the West is under.
@IPSITA1000 Жыл бұрын
Hey @Phoenix, I loved your comment and insights you shared according to your experience. I am also committed to a plan of becoming a digital nomad but i dont know from where to start. Although I am freelancing yet i dont get much clients and i just thought to ask you whether you can give me some clarity in this. Can you guide me or atleast give a clear pathway of what should I do become a digital nomad.?? I have been struggling with this and i haven't got any genuine help or guidance from anyone. Can't even understand much through internet as there are lot of info. Let me know whether is it possible for us to discuss about this. I will wait for your response. 😌
@Phoenix-hm6tk Жыл бұрын
@@IPSITA1000, appreciate your comment. Just wanted to clarify though that I don’t fit the traditional definition of a “Digital Nomad”. I’m an experienced professional in tech and have taken on different roles working across six countries. If you’re someone starting out and interested in living the Digital nomad lifestyle, you should get clarity on your monetisation model and how you’ll reach your target audience remotely. Consider joining one of the nomad communities in your region (or the region you want to pursue moving to). They’re great in also helping you network and providing additional guidance in your field. There are lots of helpful resources including visas available online (over 50 countries offer a Digital Nomad visa based on some basic income requirement). If you’re starting out, I would always suggest getting a “tax residency” in a zero tax jurisdiction like the UAE, even though you don’t need to be based there thru the year. Given most of your income will be generated online, ask yourself what’s the best location that would afford you to keep the most amount of income in your pocket without compromising your lifestyle or other aspirations. As a nomad, you can switch locations with ease every year (or multiple times a year, some of which might be dependent on your nationality). Good luck with your pursuits!

We have multiple discussions around going back to dubai , apart from the fact that it is not easy to start your life again in dubai other reasons I don’t agree. 1. Healthcare is free in CAN/AUS but if you are in dubai health care is 110% better than here being access to specialists and all the costs covered by health insurance provided by ur employer. 2. Proximity to rest of the world is far better from dubai 3. Home sickness and social life issue is minimum in dubai 4. Life style is better with easy access to domestic help and fancy cars. Good Morning Shilpaji, Bahot zabardast video. Aapne taqreeban sab points cover kiye hain. Maine bhi pichhle 23 saal mein hazaaron baar sochaa hoga ki armed with a Canadian passport, mujhe salary pehle se kaafi zyaada milegi (yes, it makes a HUGE difference if you are a citizen of Canada, US or any other developed country), lekin phir maine socha ki kya Canada ke jaisa mental peace UAE mein hai? Canada ki developed society mein itne saal rehne ke baad kya main UAE jaisi country mein jahaan apne logon ki koi izzat nahin hai, open discrimination hai (especially based on skin colour and religion), human rights abuses hain, lack of Government support hai, lack of access to justice hai, se adjust kar paaoonga? Reh reh ke jo mere saath 1986 mein hua (when the Driving Instructor said to me "Ta'al Kalb") rings in my ear. UAE mein for the most part Indians, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans, Nepalis, Filipinos, Africans apni self-respect ghar mein rakh ke baahar nikalte hain. Wahaan koi bhi GCC National sabke saamne aapko kabhi bhi be-izzat kar sakta hai and unfortunately you cannot do anything about it. Zaraa sochiye, kya aapke saath Canada mein kabhi aisa ho sakta hai? Kya aapke saath is developed society mein kisi mein bhi himmat hogi aisa jaahilaanaa vyavahaar karne ki? Location 15:00 Yes, aapne bilkul sahi kahaa. We come here for the sake of our kids' education and well-being, kyonki Canadian degrees ki poori duniya mein value hai. UAE degrees ya Indian degees (except IIT, IIM) ki koi value nahin hai. Canada ka education system itna bhi kharaab nahin hai. Not trying to be cocky lekin my daughter who was born in Dubai was just 2 years old when she arrived in Canada. Today, aside from a post-graduate degree from UBC, she also has a Power Pilot's license (free), she is fluent in 4 languages - English, French, German and Hindi (again free), a Third Degree Black belt in Karate and she is a confident, self-respecting, mature and independent woman. Kya ye sab facilities usko UAE mein mili hoti? I very much doubt it. I hope aapko jald se jald citizenship mil jaaye. Once you obtain your Canadian passport, just buy your tickets, hop on to a plane and visit beautiful European countries, Japan, Singapore, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America without a visa. What a luxury it is. 🤩 Bas India ka OCI and Canada+US ka NEXUS Card lena na bhoolein. Aapko Canada Immigration ki website and Wikipedia mein NEXUS ki har information mil jaayegi. NEXUS ek bahot zabardast document hai aur sasta bhi hai. Just $50.00 per person for 5 years. As usual, this comment has come become quite boring and mundane so I think I should stop. BTW, main 01.26.2023 ko Torotno pahunch rahaa hoon. Abhi Roterdam mein baitha hoon. I am just hoping against hope that this comment doesn't disappear.

I am waiting for my citizenship to go to US. Housing in Canada is very expensive. In US it’s 1/3rd of Canada. If I live in Canada I will be paying $6500 CAD mortgages every month for my detached house in Burlington, which is 45 mins away from Toronto. But, If I live 45 mins away from New York, I will be paying $2500 CAD for similar and better house. If you live in Canada, you just pay heavy taxes to govt and big mortgages to bank, through out your life. You can not do much, can’t travel, can’t do shopping, or afford luxury car … because your monthly budget becomes to tight.

Can you make video on current India? I see people going back for much better opportunities and lifestyle. And according to them it is right time to come back and explore. I am talking about people who have already bought property in India while they were here and now they have saved a good fortune and got the 50-80 lakh package there recently. Because in last few years and couple of coming years there is a drastic change in India. It is emerging as a powerful country with opportunities. Don’t forget the luxury we get there like having house help much better hotel rooms and services, malls or other infrastructure etc. If you have saved a handsome amount and het good opportunity back home you will get much better lifestyle for yourself and your children. There are international schools which match internal standards. I know fee will be high but you will earn good and can invest your savings from here in multiple sectors or simple FD if you don’t want to take risks. And your children can anytime come back to Canada for higher education let it be university in Canada or USA or any other country. Canada is no doubt a developed country but there is no further development. On the contrary Asian countries are developing at a faster pace wether it be bullet trains or other facilities. I have seen no new development in this country in past 12-15 years. The mindset of people and government in this country is taxing and giving few dollars as benefits. The can get the full Benefits of the pension you mentioned only if you have worked atleast 30 years here and claim it either after 65 or later years. That too won’t be much for luxury lifestyle. We talk about peace of mind here but when your child can not get immediate help in ER you don’t have it. And in old age you have nothing here. You are all by yourself as your children might be busy with their life. The fun of travelling within India and neighbouring tourist destinations is awesome. Here we have just Niagara Falls or extreme weather destinations where going once is enough no doubt is very beautiful. Or go to USA but you can do that now when you are here. If you earn good money back home and saved a good amount international vacations are possible. We say education system back home is not good. So how did we end up getting the best of the jobs in every best companies on the map. If you see here all good positions are filled with Indian, Chinese or other Asian people with better education. In the end, there is never enough money that could satisfy us. Luxury, lifestyle, size of our home( I have a big house with no family just me my husband and children), luxury cars that we own is superficial wishes. I don’t know if we will go back or stay here. Not there is always this dilemma for anyone who leaves there motherland and settle in other county. I love that you made this video. A hot topic to discuss indeed.

@@chitchatwithshilpa thanks for replying Shilpa. I am following your channel quietly lol since you started. One of a BA in my husband’s team moved back to Indian after spending 12-14 years here. He got a package of 45 lakhs. I am not sure what role he got there. His reason to move back was his father’s health as he is the only son. And his wife’s aging parents who also don’t have any other child. Other person I know who is in IT got 65 lakh package. Few in HR got 35, 40 and 45 lakhs. From the family I got this info that 35-65 lakhs is no big deal for companies to pay you plus other benefits depending on the profile and experience you carry. There are some streams and profiles where you can get 75-85 lakhs package.

Thats true , in india post covid package have considerably . In bangalore and mumbai u can see people are easily earning a package of 30 to 50 lakhs. But they would also be taxed accordingly and u cannot evade taxes as these companies giving salaries pay taxes before hand and then credit your salary. So an individual earning 30 lakhs & paying 6 7 lakhs in taxes (post tax savings) feel only i m the one contributing to government and not reaping any benefits . What are your thoughts on that and rest you to have pay for ur kids education, ur own Healthcare- no doubt best services in Max. So how to choose which place is best.

@@manmohansingh-mc1mu if you have good qualification and a decent job in India I would suggest you to stay there. Canada pays good for labour jobs. If you are interested in doing that come. I see truck drivers and the cleaning lady that comes to our house earns 3 times the salary we make. Some even 4 to 5 times more. If you are from other countries in Asia or Europe or elsewhere where the living conditions are not good then come to this country. If your developing country doesn’t develop much it don’t have a promising future then come here. If terrorism, threat etc or harsh living conditions back home then come here. Canada has giving asylum to many refugees. Let me tell you that India compared to any other nation is the youngest. We were under British rule for so long and that goes unsaid that these British exploited us and left us poor. No one gave us azaadi. They left us because we became burden for them and there was nothing much left for them to exploit from us. After world war we were sort of liability to them. Anyways the azad developing India is just 75 year young. We are a nation of the most youngest youth. Our population is our strength. We talk of corruption and inefficiency of the government but will not agree that we are the same. Tum 100 Rupee ka note nikalte ho bribe dene ko jab kahi fanste ho. Agar apna kaam jaldi karana h to bribe dete h. It is a blessing in disguise for you. Here in Canada you don’t have that luxury. Indian doctors are the most efficient doctors. The technology that we have on India which is increasing and evolving say bhi day is unbeatable and impeccable. Wait for few more years. The things that you crave on foreign nations will all come back home to you. But if you really want to live on foreign land then no excuses will convince you. Anyways it is not that easy to go to any country to live there. People try illegal ways and end up in wrong situations. Even if you come here legally don’t expect to have the luxury of having awesome job house luxury cars etc. that last not the case. Mostly first generation here struggles and work their ass off to establish for the next generation to have comfortable life.

I think the real issue is why do want to be a citizen where you don't enjoy living in. No, you don't come to Canada for your kids. There are extremely good international schools in India. Lastly is lifestyle limited hours of work and the rest of the time spent on house work? The house is big because you can't spend time outdoors most of the year..
@SajidG.. Жыл бұрын
i actually cant believe u guys came out exactly my thoughts we had same issue , slogged here for 15 years in UK coz it takes more then 5-10 years overall by the time you become citizen student then student work permit and 5 years Indefinite leave then wait for citizenship and still cant call parents .. and now for 3 years we were planning should we stay or go back to India. then you start thinking about your kids and we thought the same 1st generation in new country will always suffer and mid 40s you are in dilema should you now go back and relax n reap rewards of hard work or still stay here bad weather (not as bad as canada but dull, no sunlight n so on) and hope your kids have better life while you stay here. Another prob like you mention is the stress of starting everything from zero whether its Dubai or India . We thought of Dubai but its not cheap either
@chitchatwithshilpa Жыл бұрын

Normally, I Do not comment on VLOGS. As they are their personal assessment and views. However, I cannot help but to point-out 2:19 when Amit says CPP+OAS ($1,375 is avg.) is enough for good living after retirements is factually not correct. Person, has to have sizeable Retirement fund in-order to live decently. Health infrastructure is struggling to keep up (mostly due to Immigration and refuge. it's not their fault please do not get me wrong. it's mainly Infrastructure & policies cannot keep pace with the inflow) and Gov. doesn't have enough funds or Doctors for that matter.(@chitchatwithshilpa - you work at the hospital so you know what I'm talking about. We can sugarcoat as much as we like but you know the reality). Ask any PSW worker and they will have stories (about seniors) to share. if the system continues, I do not see that the time the level of healthcare required (as senior citizen) will not be available. I have see healthcare declined in last 15yrs I'm here (accelerated during the COVID). We all should be financially prepared to pay our of our pocket for Private healthcare in next 10-15 years. Unless the Sun rises in the west and sets in the east, So it's not all peaches & cream, as a retired senior surviving only on Gov. system/support in CANADA.
