Having lived in Maricopa County (Southern Arizona) for 26 years, I can honestly say dust devils may seem relatively "innocent" and insignificant. But some of them can almost blow your car right off the road if you happen to drive through one of them. During the heat of summer, driving along the I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson, it's not uncommon to see 2 or three huge dust devils spinning on the ground at the same time.

Dust devils have actually been known to blow roofs off of houses which can translate from EF-1 to EF-2 tornado damage. It all just depends on the conditions.

No, none of them are. These are all dust devils and whirlwinds. A tornado cannot form on a clear blue sky. Its gotta form from the cloud to the ground

Correct. At 7:06 you see the small tornado from 2019 in the center of Amsterdam. What you see is not dust but water, and the storm above it was a small supercell.

Note the direction of the wind in Australia compared to the direction in the northern hemisphere. Clockwise in the south - Counterclockwise in the north. Assuming none of the video was flipped horizontally.

Here where i live, Dust devils are relatively common, however most are pretty small and short, however the biggest one we had was able to break apart my neighbor's roof sheeting

Some of these are landspout tornados and water spout tornado I can see the confusion though landspout tornados do not require a rotating base and can form in relatively strong strong thunder storms and usually look like big dust devils same can be said for a water spout and some of these are real tornados just weak rope ef 0s were the condonation funnel doesn't touch but the debrie cloud indacates that it is in fact on the ground

These are mini tornadoes but sometimes they can surprise you. If you start seeing large objects getting thrown up in the air might not be a good idea to play with them.

I encountered dust devil twice! I saw one at my work when it came switling around in horse areana. It was crazy. First one is when I was at the doctor appointment we were in parking alot and dust devil appeared out of nowhere coming right at us (we're in the car in parking lot) we're in it's path it was blowing dust and leaves it coming at us fast. So my mom rolled up a windows but the windows are to slow and it went right through us I can feel breeze and leaves blowing inside the car! We all laughed thought it was hilarious but ppl next to us saw this was like wow! Second encounter is when we're on the way to Montana for my cousin Corey's wedding we went stopped at horseshoe bend. We got out car and hiked down and as we're hiking down we didn't expect dust devil raging towards us and didn't know we're in it's path. As we hiking suddenly we heard a loud gust of wind I heard mom screaming and I close my eyes feeling dirt hitting my face man that stings. My hair gone crazy I thought it was a strong gust of wind blowing dust and soon gust stopped I opened my eyes my hair is like wild and my dad said we got hit by dust devil! I admitted it It hurts and stings I mean dirt hitting your skin I'm glad my eyes were shut. It did messed up my hair!

Usually for me when a ash devil is about to happen a very rapidly rotating thin rising tube of smoke stays long enough then it will eventually cause a dust ash devil outbreak (these always spawn at the edge of a large trash burning fire)

Not all of these are dust devils. There are few occasions in a stormy weather with cumulonimbus clouds, so those are either landspouts/waterspouts or an initiation of a proper supercellular tornado.
