Thank you very much for creating this Video, providing this list and categorization of moves. I've been dancing Cutting Shapes for about 4 years now and it feels like we have similar ways of thinking about shuffle steps. Here are some of my Ideas on your Ideas: I categorized all steps with a twisting ankle movement similar as in the charleston as variations of it (e.g. 93), just as i categoriesed all moves that involve thwisting your hips from side to side similar as in the switchblades move as variations of it(e.g. 56, 85) 27 is a looped and alternating version of 24 Is 30 a Jete or Flamingo Spin? Big Brain Name Idea for 34: It is based on a ballet jump that is called "entre chat" (french: between cats) so i called it "enter chat" because it is often used to start (enter) a combo (freestyle dance is a chat with yourself) What is the difference between 40 and 41 and the difference between 57 and 58 I really missed "alternating" Side kick Flare (51) I really liked the idea of comboing 60 and 61 until i saw that you had the same idea in 62 AND how you called it a 4 (although 4 "shape" would be much more fitting than "figure" imo, since we're doing cutting shapes) I usually do my 71 kicking the ground a little bit like you did it in 72 but in the other direction and just once per 360° I should use more slides in freestyles. They are epic if you can do them smoothly 44, 84, 97 are criss cross variations in my opinion (and some other moves that are a mix e.g. 9) I found myself doing a whole category on 47 - one Legged Pendulum (great name) Variations (i named it "swingkick" which is terrible) It includes for example dancejakeys extended runningman, a variation of your 87 and 88-90 (legswitches) Even though I have seen all these moves in shufflevideos before ( im a huge addict) I can use this to improve my freestyle in terms of variation because this video made me realize that ive just not tried out some of these moves yet. (i have to use 36=)

i've been watching your channel for a while, i do cutting shapes as well. and i liked your past tutorials but i think this is one of the BEST showcases of moves i have EVER seen, so many moves and variations.. plus the 4 different views is massive bonus - some people learn better from the sides, other from the back, others from the front i was planning on doing a similar video with all moves that i have learned but you have blown that idea to pieces with this video (which is a good thing! i can still make a video myself, just about my own unique moves that i do and other things i think i could add ^^) do you think a discord would be a good idea for this community? like a chatting server where we can meet and grow and discuss dancing in general incredible work dude. keep up the great content

Hello Niko nice to meet you (virtually)! Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the format of this video. And would love to see whatever it is that you will produce. Sounds exciting. There's a growing shuffle dance community and Jolie (founder of @shufflewisdom) has taken it upon herself to start a discord about future shuffle wisdom productions as well as a great place for people to connect and share knowledge. I highly recommend you reach out and express that you're interested in joining that server. Feel free to mention I recommended you reach out to them. Also you're not the first to mention that you liked the previous tutorials, I will be posting newly formatted combo/choreography tutorials in the future so stay tuned. Thanks Kento, this video is amazing! One question I have is, how do you describe the difference between the straight and bent leg reverse charleston (4 + 5)? My eye can't see the difference...
@kentobaby4 жыл бұрын
Hey Richard! It’s a very very subtle difference and to be honest I didn’t execute it that well. 4 is when the front leg is lifted and hanging in air bent at an angle while 5 should be where that front leg is extended so that the whole leg is completely straight before it’s carried to the back. Hope this helps!
