Excellent tut but there’s a lot of information on the Internet about how to do some basic shuffle moves and very little information about such things as shuffle freestyling, principles of how to put moves together, combo and choreo making, dancing to the rhythm, to a song and other dance concepts.

This is. vry true. And I am still in the process of understanding that crucial idea and learning about how to teach this effectively. 100% will have content in the future talking about the true beauty of dancing in general, and that comes with listening to the music, expressing what you feel, and knowing how to transition and adapt to different situations .

Awww shucks. Maybe if I were in my 30’s, 40’s or even 50’s. Alas. Think I’ll sit on the side & watch, & totally enjoy all the fun & smiles.

Your charleston looks freaking sharp. Why would you recommend to be on your heels all the time while performing the charleston?
@kentobaby3 жыл бұрын
In the video I actually refer to avoid being on your heels at all times. For this particular style or Charleston where you do not travel forwards or backwards and want to stay bouncy and explosive, it only makes sense to stay on the balls of your foot so you can smoothly transition from each step

Hey Mr. Bottles of water don’t exist! 😄✊🏼Thank you for the video!!! 🙏 Actually I was practicing this move last week, still working on that! My question is how much I should try to twist my feet? Thanks for your answer and have a good day! 🌈✌🏼
@kentobaby4 жыл бұрын
I would highly recommend twisting them as much as possible to you really understand the importance of pivoting it back and forth while you’re hopping on each foot. Changing the direction in which your toes point will determine how clean the shapes are! The more pointed the larger the angles, and the prettier it will generally look

Whoa!!! Who started this "Charleston" craze, a bunch of teenagers?...maybe, but please consider that the 'Charleston' was the dance craze in the 1920s when the stock market was soaring to record highs (just like it is now) right before the whole thing crashed into a smouldering heap called "the great depression". That's what we have coming.
@kentobaby3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing! Am well aware of the Charleston dance from the 1920’s that also influenced by the Juba Dance
