I started watching this to over come my snake phobia and I was almost ready to get one but now I'm back at square one...my biggest fear is owning a snake and if it lashed out I would panick and just run,I thought if they were born in captivity like this they were all docile to an extent but I need more time ,thank you for showing all the good and the bad. I hope that one day I successfully over come this phobia,I actually held one at a pet store and the way they feel and move on the arm is so amazing to expirience but the head is what freaks me out the most to be perfectly honest with you... I want to be a knowledgeable and ready 100% to take on all the reasponsibility and commitment.

Glad to hear you are being responsible :) Take your time, talk to professionals and learn! A great beginner snake would be a corn snake as they are the most docile usually. I would also say to go for an older snake that's used to being handled as young ones are always nervous and flighty no matter the breed. Good luck! :)

Nate Calderon I can pretty confidently say that he has not. The closest he's probably come is letting the snake hit the floor much like the big one with the yellow belly. Proffesionals know how to handle snakes without injuring the animal through years of experience. Also in most cases, like him, the person loves animals and would rather cause themselves pain than the animal. Hope this answered your question :)

Clorox Bleach very unlikely. The snake would have to think of you as a food item it's capable of eating. Humans don't smell like food items. And even if you had just been handling rats and smell like them and the snake strikes and wraps you.... you unwrap them starting with the tail. You're no longer in danger of losing a limb due to lack of circulation. Now that you're not in any immediate danger of dying or losing a limb, there's no need to hurt the snake to get him off.

They're non venomous bro . If they were venomous, one strike could easily prove to be deadly ! Just have to remember it's no different than being poked by a nail or staple and what not . It's a simple bite and doesn't feel "good" , but it's not anything you'd go to the dr. for by any means ..

Francé Gonzalez you don’t need to handle them with two hands. Especially in some of these cases because when they’re wrapped around your hand and they’re in defence mode and your putting another hand towards them they’re going to bite you, so doing it at a slower pace or trying to slowly introducing the other hand was a tactic to calm down the snake so he won’t get bit.
