I never thought I'd get a sub let alone over 100+, so to celebrate and say a thank you for watching and hopefully learning a little bit along the way I'm giving away one of these straight razors.
All you have to do is like and subscribe to the channel, type anything in the comments section and I'll assign a number to your comment. On may the 18th I'll do a video pulling a number out the hat and then post the razor to wherever.

@Sustainashave Oh no way, thanks! Like I mentioned, I have 0 experience shaving with a straight razor, so I don't really know which blade would be best for me. What razor do you think would be best for a beginner? I heard full hollow razors are easier to learn vs a wedge. If that is the case, I'll go with the #3 option, ERN Solingen Barden. What's the best way to send you my shipping info? I'm located in the US so I don't mind paying for the international shipping, you are giving me a free razor after all!

@@juansalcedo2854 I don't really agree with the which grind is better, it's more the edge that matters. No expense to you bud I'll send it wherever at my cost it's a thank you and especially a pleasure to possibly get another gent shaving with a straight. They all shave great so you pick? I'll chuck in a piece of leather also, your have to glue it to something flat but give me a week or two and I'll do a simple video of that also, I've been meaning to. How did you hear about me?

I found you through comments on wickededge. The people their vouch for you so I am here to show support. I am trying to buy a safety razor right now mostly because I can't afford a straight razor. I have always been interested in wet shaving and recently found out I'm a father.. Might be silly but I had to teach myself how to shave up to this point and hope I can really hone the art in the next few years to pass that knowledge down to him.

Part of the reason I do these videos is in the hope that someone who has maybe been sitting on the fence about getting a straight gets one. I would love to get into straight razors, but the difference is daunting when compared to what I have always done. I have to pick and choose my investments and enjoying my shaving is more of a luxury than something I can invest in. I am sure almost everyone else understands that dilemma!

No.12, shavettes are crap on the whole and it annoys me that people advise others to try them first as they are very much not a straight razor or even close to one.. Good luck 👍

No.28, your have to talk to the hat.. congrats was your hand shaking a tad? Mine was but all worked out just fine. The worse nick I've got is from a Wade & Butcher For Barbers Use, on film in all its glory, still got the scar as a reminder. What's a life without scars I say! Good luck 👍

@@Sustainashave no nervs really. Just some spots under the neck was a bit weird to get. Had to figure out my hands so i can see and still shave. Wasnt too bad. Knew theres no real danger in using a straight razor. Just about getting that angle right.

Yeah same for me under my chin and under my jaw bone about half way up, everyone has their spots so to speak. It's all about the angle, I sometimes lay the razor flat on my face and kinda re set, I find this helpful especially on my weaker side that is the left hand side. Do you use both hands or just the better one?

@@Sustainashave i only used my dominant hand which is my right. Dont have my faith in my left hand for anything 🤣 my fiance was like why not just use your other hand? I might try next time idk 😅😅

Lol, I'm the same it doesn't work right but it's good to use it for shaving and it does get better with use, even my eye's don't work as good going that way it seems looking at the razor, who'd knew!... lol.

Those look like nice razors. I've got a couple old ebay razors, a JA Henkels, and a Genco Henry XX. Used the Henkels last couple nights. I want to enter. Thanks alot for doing a giveaway.

No.22 Thanks Henckels made some super great razors I've got 3 or 4 that are my forever keepers. Check out my videos featuring the J.A Henckels 17 it's one of the best razors ever made in my opinion. Never had a Genco but I've heard they are generally good razors. Good luck 👍
