Say what you may but I don't hate the Elise kiss. This kind of thing is normal in fiction like a Human dating a bee in the bee movie or Humans canonically marrying pokemons in the past. In the Sonic Universe, Anthropomorphic animals get with Anthropomorphic animals all the time, Like Vector a Crocodile being enamoured by Cream's Mother who is a rabbit.
