What's the difference between cheap uv and expensive uv sunglasses? Are the lenses same but only difference in the frame?

There are actually a lot of differences in lenses that can happen! At a certain point, the price will be mostly in the frame. BUT the really cheap shades will have lower quality, thinner, less optically clear lenses

I need safety glasses in my line of work and I'm out doors 90% of the time. looked into getting Milwaukee tinted safety lenses and the UV rating states UV6, did a quick google search and found UV400 is the highest protection offered. What is UV6 and what is its protection? If its a gimmick any recommendations?

Hey! I don't think we're familiar with anything UV 6 in optics. However, there is a UV index in weather that ranges from 1-11+, that may be where they are getting that number from. Although, I would think the lenses probably still do (and should!) protect in weather above a 6 index. You might want to ask for a bit more clarification!

If you wear uv400 does it mean it much tinted than the 100uv?

UV protection actually is not related to lens tint! Our clear lenses are 100% UV Protected, or UV400. You can check out how dark the lenses will be by looking for a category number or VLT.

Unfortunately, we don't sell any Category 4 or specialized sunglass lenses at this time. Our darkest non-polarized lens right now is Fusion Mirror and our darkest polarized lens will be our Bronze Mirror Polarized, both are around 9% VLT
