That would be nice! Right now city code requires the homeowner to maintain 6 feet past the property line but it is not enforced by more than a small fine. I purchase equipment as I can afford it, and honestly can’t count how many times I just have to find a way to get it done 😂 I think it builds character that way

Bless you for your service! Not many people think about the sidewalks and what people in wheelchairs or that have mobility issues go through to navigate public streets. And we all need to think about it. Our population is getting older, and with that comes some special needs. The city is responsible for maintaining the sidewalks but funds are limited. I hope with the infrastructure bill there will be more funds for improving sidewalks and increasing accessibility for everyone. I would posit to everyone: what if it was your mother, father, or grandparents that needed to navigate those sidewalks? We need to treat everyone with dignity and respect, and that means equal access to public spaces. Thank you for sharing your efforts. It brings the conversation right where it needs to be. Something I noticed is the pole with something attached towards the bottom that is actually a safety hazard. Someone could really get hurt with that metal piece sticking out over the sidewalk. As usual, another excellent cleanup. I am sure those who use the sidewalks greatly appreciate a safe path out of the roadway. Glad to see you are wearing a safety vest on that busy street's sidewalk! I would definitely agree with the person that suggested putting out an orange cone or two. Something that catches the eyes of the drivers zipping past you. Hooray for staying hydrated and taking breaks. Definitely don't want heat exhaustion or heat stroke! Also... that fence had some boards hanging out, looking like they could fall down on the sidewalk. Not to tell you how to run your channel & content, but I really like seeing things like that repaired, or at least secured so they'll stay put, and I know there are other viewers out there who feel the same way. It's very satisfying to see that on another channel I watch (Midlife Stockman). Maybe some nails and a hammer might be a good thing to keep in your vehicle for future situations? 🤷🏻‍♀️

This week has been hectic but i actually purchased a box of screws just for this particular instance. I took the weekend off to make sure I was 100% better from being sick, and actually didn’t finish these sidewalks until Thursday (the day before this video went out) We will fix this, and I am now prepared to fix things like this going forward!

The other unfortunate thing is it’s obviously not enforced. Iwould invest in reflective tape and a bright colored trash can. Even if you put it out up traffic from you on the devil strip while you're edging or mowing, it helps your visibility out there. Put reflective tape on the trashcan, wheel barow, and mower because it shows up in daylight too. 👽🗿👽🗿👽

Unfortunately it’s not. I have been using a glyphosate concentrate, but I actually saw a comment that said some type of salt water will work as well. If I can reduce the risk of cancer and still do a good job I am all in!
