My Dad was 102 y/o and when he asked me to move in with him so he could remain independent, we went out into the garden every day to trim, dig, rake and he was amazing.. I did the cutting back and raked everything close to the green bin and he would cut everything up and I could not get over how much he could fit in the bin..he was a hit at Bunnings garden centre and had everyone running around after him. He still had his license but restricted to going as far as the cemetery to see my mum but off the roads before dark. 3 o clock was “knock off and time to put the billy on” each day for him. He left the house to me and I still keep up our tradition of going out into the garden everyday.
