It’s not 2030 so I hope we get 1920 again in the future! That era had such a unique style
@arianaink100 Жыл бұрын
Probably won’t rn were in a 1960-80s nostalgia phase and the (1920s/guided/1800-1900 is considered beautiful yet far to impractical and less cost effective then easier runway and hippie relation styles. In part because the actual 1800-1920s styles were fine crafted, handcrafted,, imported materials, or had extremely dubious creation standards and even more brigade marketing and distribution to achieve the look/style of the times.) It’s stunning and visually unique but it’s impractical and considered too flashy/romantic (considering all the time period pieces in media and lovely covey monarchs or some cottage core life on the prairie bs) It’s statement and impractical and it can be mocked more then appreciate when the crafting of the garnments is something like a corporation compaired to a handful of factories in Italy or Paris. It’s renders itself kitsch when mass produced and quality or expensive materials or labor makes the unique pieces and accessories important

I see I'm not the only one in the comments who doesn't appreciate the editorial decision to stop including the 1920s. This decade was one of the most stylish and opulent of the century. It represents the last age of American opulence before the economic and political hardships of the '30s and '40s forced designers and the public to cheap out and dumb down their clothes.
@KatieKruspe Жыл бұрын

@Fionagoode6996 Жыл бұрын
I really love chokers but I only find 2-3 ones that fit me. Most designs make it too feminine to find the right outfit. I like sweaters or hoodies but wearing a choker with them looks weird. If I wear a fancy dress, I want something more glamorous than choker. However a thin gold necklace works with almost all kinds of clothes.
