If you want that kind of content, you might check out a channel like Rachel Maksy or another historical/vintage channel that handles historical beauty topics in a way that is slightly less product/consumer/entertainment-industry focused. I'm pretty sure I would have seen a lot of stupid jokes about us that people think are just funny and acceptable when they're really offensive and have a huge impact on our self-esteem. So it's pretty cool there's none of that. Actually it did start 100 years ago, silent films although I really don't think 'Bollywood' itself became such a mainstream popular thing until very very recently. Of course there were Indian films but Indian films alone does not 'Bollywood' make.
