You seem to know alot about movies, maybe you can help me find one I saw in the mid to late 80s but didn't seem to see it in video... a boy goes to Japan and his grandpa (I think) gives him a robot. If it recall correctly, robot is slow and looks like a trashcan? They run away or wander through the streets?? Maybe I'm making it up but that's all I remember...😅

1964~1967 Lost In Space robot B9 Reported to be designed by the same person who created Robbie the Robot from the 1956 movie Forbidden Planet. Robbie was a better robot, but B9 had more character.

Not sure if a robot, but I remember seeing a movie in 93’-94’ where a man (vizier looking dude) owned a woman that stood in place and doesn’t move, but when someone walks over to her she crushes them with her arms. She wasn’t in the film much like (3-4) 1 to kill a guard/soldier and another to kill the main hero. Closest to this was a thief from Baghdad, but it’s not the film I’m looking for.

That's including some cyborg from Robocop (1987) Terminator (1984) The Vindicator (1986) Cyborg (1989). They are not robot or android. Cyborg is an organism with machine in the body after remodeled surgery.

@@arealdwarf Hey Sparks had a great design - the bulk of Robbie the Robot, the feet of the Gonk Droid, surely the inspiration for the Probe Droids in Empire. So he is up on being the greatest robot. Sparks (the robot) later employed the Mael Brothers to play his absolutely bonkers songs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYTWZ2aMYreghs0. Very, very good company.

Daleks are not Robots, more a tank for a mutant or mutation that is not much more than a enlarged brain, just not in a jar, but in a travel machine with some nasty weaponary built-in.
