Try having a gallon sized clamshell jar full of the stuff out in plain view while the police search your house looking for evidence in a homicide investigation! ( Robbery gone horribly wrong, perp is in prison and will be for the best years of his miserable life) Quickest it’s not what it looks like I have ever done in my life! Was half expecting it to be gone when they let us back in the house. Surprisingly it’s still here but it definitely wasn’t where I left it! I grow and dry the stuff every year so the jar is never empty and is very potent!

Secondly, catnip is actually... catMINT! Related to other mint varieties. Lastly, when a cat detects the compounds in catnip, he or she is doing so with the same receptors that they use to detect pheromones. Catnip isn't just a 'drug' for kitties. It's kinda like... Viagra. 😂

Exactly... There's a "catnip gene" that most cats have which allows them to detect and react to catnip. However, some cats don't have this gene and therefore aren't affected by it. I used to have a cat who didn't have the catnip gene and totally ignored catnip. She looked at me like "What do you expect me to do with that dried up crap?! I'm going over here now. Call me when you have something interesting." LOL
