1000 Dunas Raid - Joan Pedrero | Harley-Davidson Pan America

Elite Dakar Rally rider Joan Pedrero made history by successfully finishing the seven stage 1000 Dunas Raid riding a completely stock Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special. The 1000 Dunas Raid was held in Granada, Spain from October 22-29, 2022.
Pedrero, who entered into the most demanding ‘Elite’ category, departed from Granada and crossed the Mediterranean Sea by ferry from Motril to Nador navigating the kingdom of the Berbers. From there, he crossed the Atlas Mountains, facing extreme temperatures from 100+ degrees to snowy conditions.
The route then descended to the tortuous sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, crossing the most deserted areas of Morocco. In the last stages of the raid, Pedrero crossed the Moroccan territory from Merzouga to Nador and faced the most challenging part of the race.

I'm so glad they have ventured into other market segments instead of only pumping out lead sleds. I hope the other players and it's riders keep the pressure on H-D to better itself and venture into more segments. No, I don't want them to build a Superbike, they'll fail miserably and there's little money to be made there BUT something like a Standard a la Monster 1200 or a Crossover like a BMW S1000XR wouldn't hurt. Keep trying, H-D ! YOU'LL GET THERE SOON ! 🙂👍

Will HD provides a 1000 Dunas package for the PanAm like they do for their touring bikes with a presentation of a group of parts that can be added to adapt the bike to certain use (e.g., Traveling Package on Street Bob)? I’m specifically interested in those extension around the radiator used to cool it even more (Joan even pours water directly on those holed extensions).

Por que Harley Davidson no se vuelca de una vez al off road o a cross o enduro hablar de HD es sinónimo de chopper y está perdiendo terreno valioso en otras categorias.
