The guys at Finish Line Performance know how to make power, and they also know how to build killer cars. Take this 1996 Chevy Impala SS. While in the care of the FLP crew, what started as a decent performer from the factory has morphed into a fully-streetable 1000 HP show and go machine. It sports a Procharged and nitrous oxide injected 383 stroker backed by a 6-speed manual, and finishes with a full custom interior and competition audio system. The interesting side story is that the car's owner enjoyed his FLP / Impala experience so much, he bought into the company! Dan Bills takes us through the highlights of the black beast.

THE LAST GREAT LOOK AMERICAN CAR !! i was new in America that was in 1999 working as valet parking in chicago we had to jump 4 lines in about 100 yards on ontario street the onwer was 6 ft 5 in, 240 lbs, so the driver seat was all the way to the back !!the car take off was so fast that my arm started to hurt !! I LOVE THIS CAR

you would have loved my 70 chevelle ss...402 done .060 over with crower cam and heads ported with hooker exhaust backed up by a reverse 400 3200 stall and a .456 12 bolt....unreal natural aspir...went 11.32 at thompson drag raceway park in 1977....lord we love cars....jimbo.....oh and 8 pounds pressure on L60 15 street radials.....what a hoot

We have a 96 Impala SS. It like a seagreen blue. Stock comes with Corvette motor just toned down a bit more. But my Dad raced his friend on the strip with the same year corvette stock an beat. It's mostly based on how the rear trans. was built.
