This thing had Nitto555R2’s on the rear- with 17” weld wheels. I forget the size at the moment. They were a good all around tire- but are sketchy in the rain. The vehicle has since been sold- new owner just hit 1100 np with a few changes to the combo…and I’m here to tell you the nittos don’t hold for crap at that power level. So if you daily drive this thing, how often would you have to refill with meth? Or will the cooling ice tank have to be filled every time you drive it? Sorry not really experienced with the ice tank or meth stuff. Some info would be appreciated. Would the meth only have to be refilled every time after some racing? Same with the ice tank? How often would the water in the ice tank have to be drained out for new clean water?

Great question- happy to answer. He goes through a few gallons of meth a month give or take, despite driving it as much as he does. We have the methanol activated at wide open throttle only…primarily when the demand for additional fuel and cooling is most needed. Otherwise it doesn’t spray. He doesn’t have an ice tank at this time…as this set up is air to air, not air to water like the original LT4 Engine is with the heat exchanger. The meth has its own tank and pump in the trunk and is sprayed into the intake pipe before the manifold. Any more questions let me know- Erik

Not sure why you say a stock LT4 bottom end wouldn’t support 1000 because many Z06 have 1000 with stock bottom end.

It can certainly be done no doubt- but the lt4 sbe has been proven time and time again to be inconsistent when pushed to that level. Mainly the thrust bearing. I also left out the fact that his stock LT4 chewed up a lifter and scored the lifter bore- which led us to a new 416…I just didn’t mention it in the video for the sake of time and storyline.

It’s over 1000 crank Crisp. Do the math. When you buy a car from Chevy they rate the power at the crank. We measure power at the wheels for the purposes of tuning and testing, but this engine set up produces over 1000 currently at the flywheel. I’ll splash some E in it and get 1000 wheel if that would cheer you up 🍺

In this case, we are talking FWHP. No, not rwhp you are correct. Car is stupid fast- I’m content with 900+ at the wheels LOL. With some changes to the set up, we can very easily make 1000+ wheel on this thing- mainly fueling changes. BUT- he didn’t want that. He wanted pump and meth and wanted to keep stock high side…so that’s what we got. Thanks for watching.

@@jackrwallace I still don’t understand your point. No one is disputing those facts. The owner wanted 1000. We have him that. He didn’t want a stock ported blower- he wanted a procharger. He wanted a 416. He wanted to run pump and meth. We achieved all those goals and gave him what he wanted. At any point I can turn this thing up and make more. RPM builds the same stuff we do- and vice versa. It comes down to clients needs and wants.
