@@guard13007 When you leave the pits, you are supposed to stay on the apron until the backstretch and when up to speed. Lepage was about half thr speed of the leaders and stupidly merged in front of them and caused a wreck. Lepaging the field means merging in front of the leaders for no reason and causing a wreck.

There was once a race at sonoma where truex's pit crew faked out harvicks crew making harvick pit earlier than he wanted. The 78 crew got ready on pit road and told martin to pit, but he didn't because it was planned that way. Childers saw it and pitted harvick and truex passed him on track

A few 0 IQ moments: - In the 2007 Daytona 500, Dave Blaney shot down pit road at 150 mph to try and dodge what seemed to be an accident waiting to happen. He had a flat tire so wasn't able to turn well, drove back out into traffic and took out Ken Schrader and a couple other cars. -Robby Gordon loses the 2001 race at Sonoma because while trying to keep Kevin Harvick a lap down, he let Tony Stewart pass him. -Brian Vickers wiped out his teammate and the most popular driver of the sport at Talladega in 2006. -Mark Martin gave up a win at Bristol because he couldn't pay attention to how many laps were left. -Sterling Marlin lost the 2002 Daytona 500 from the lead by fiddling with his fender under red and getting black flagged

Technically Danica vs Landon at Kansas 2012 and Danica wrecked herself, but I don’t blame her she was looking for revenge on Landon but she could’ve maybe swerved a little towards his car to push him in the wall which would’ve also been one less wreck for her. You forgot a big one. Alan Kulwicki won his championship by staying out longer on the final green flag stops. This insured him getting the most laps led bonus points instead of Bill Elliott, a 10 point swing. Had he not they would have tied for points and Bill would have won the tie breaker (5wins vs 2wins)

0 IQ Moments: - David Gilliland trying a 4-wide move on the Charlotte Tri-Oval in 2009's Nationwide Series race and causing a big wreck. - J.J. Yeley wrecking Mark Martin in 2006 trying to enter the pits in the 2006 Charlotte Cup race. - Casey Mears wrecking his teammate Scott Speed in the 2010 Cup Series race at Michigan. This ended up being his last race as a substitute for the sidelined Brian Vickers at Red Bull Racing as well. - Brad Keselowski saying 'I'm not lifting' in the 2019 Cup summer race at Daytona and almost wrecking William Byron during practice as well as Kevin Harvick during the race, then Harvick did the same to Keselowski and wrecked them both. - Tony Stewart turning across Ryan Newman and causing a multi-car wreck in the 2016 Cup Fall race at Richmond. - Kevin Harvick wrecking Chase Elliott at the 2021 Cup Roval race, and then hitting the tires when Elliott is behind him and putting himself out of the Playoffs. - Jeff Gordon trying to qualify with possibly rain in the area in Cup 1995 at Michigan and wrecking.

Sterling's 0 IQ moment wasn't the work on the fender, because he would have had to come to pit road to get it fixed anyway and ended up at the back of the field regardless. Instead his 0 IQ moment was pulling the Earnhardt card in his post race interview--not only did he get the details wrong about when Earnhardt had done it (Earnhardt had cleaned his windshield under yellow, not red), but for Sterling to pull that reference when he'd been the one to get into Earnhardt to start that wreck in the same race the year before wasn't going to sit well with some fans--particularly those who blamed Sterling for causing the wreck that killed Dale.
