I know this is leagues so it’s not quite the same but what are your thoughts on the ruinous powers now thar you’ve had a chance to use them more and test them In different pvm encounters? If they had came into the game with dt2 would it have been too powerful?

Imo it's just damage for damage sake. That is to say it wouldn't be harmful to the game if it were added, but it should also come from a relevant piece of content. I think dt2 was already filled with rewards but a prayerbook of this nature would be a bit too much. It's better reserved for the likes of raids 4/colosseum/some other big pvm release, so as not to continue the powercreep unnecessarily.

@@aatykon Damage just for damage's sake is harmful power creep. Power creep always causes some amount of damage, so if there's going to be any, it needs to be fully justified in whatever its relevant meta is, done with careful consideration, and as conservative as is reasonable in order to outweigh the negatives with universal positives. That's far and away more important than whether or not something that creates power creep feels relevant to the content it comes from. Obviously I'm generalizing a lot but I'm choosing not to get into nitty gritty detail in a YT comment if possible. Especially in the case of a legacy game like OSRS, power creep needs to be conservative in order to leave as much room as possible before a virtual ceiling is hit. OSRS owes its existence to a playerbase hungry for a game from another time that has a feeling of permanence, so that ceiling of how much power creep there's actually room for is much lower as a means to preserve OSRS's identity and purpose. The hard part: there's no explicitly defined point where too much is too much, and OSRS has been and probably will be around for a long time, even if it loses popularity. Powercreep is especially sensitive in PVM because of how many effects work as multipliers, and because of the long-term inevitability of compounding numbers. In the long term, compounding numbers can create a greater and greater additive disparity in actual power as power creep stacks. Prayers, potions, super weapons, and less universal effects like the Slayer Helm and Salve Amulet all work as multipliers, so Jagex ought to be basically obsessively conscientious. The Magus Ring for example was a big, asymmetrical amount of power creep due to how the Shadow works. I'm surprised it wasn't a 1% damage buff rather than 2%, but here we are, and the Shadow is already at its cap in raids. That said, the ring slot did need relevant content, and while I feel the Magus Ring might be a bit much, all four new rings feel unique from the previous offerings because of the different approach Jagex took to their stat lines. The balancing of 3/4 is good because they are generally only a few percentage points of DPS, but they're all relevant and feel worthwhile as BIS.

I generally agree but this one bit I think matters less, purely because if enough content is pumped out over the years such that you can justify the creep and keep the variety intact there's a ton of good that comes from that. We dont need osrs to stay osrs forever, its ok to change and embrace that as long as the core game remains fun. I get a lot of people disagree with this idea ofc but thats just my personal view, after all the game would have died without updates long ago.

All three raids have much harder leagues only versions. 1000 invo is that for toa.

Leagues added 2 invos to toa, and all they do is add +200 raid lvls each if your raid lvl is 300 or higher

What’s causing Ahka to not change overheads? I went range and this would make toa loads faster. Thanks !

Doesn't work for range. Akkha only has a chance to change prayers when he attacks you or after a minute. If you're butterflying then he can't hit you and the chance for him to swap is minimised. Doesn't apply to range because he can always hit you with ranged.

With stay vigilant on, akkha has a 33% ish chance to change styles whenever he hits a player or when he does one of his special attacks, so it only works when butterflying which is what you saw with the kiting, since akkha never actually attacked the only time he had a chance of changing styles was when he did a special

You effectively want to woox walk it. But flinch backwards two tiles to get out of his melee range. If you go back one tip you can get meleed.

its 1k difficulty, 950 is the reduced ending points without time, which isnt attainable in my gear imo
