@@MiniBikeMike what do you think about the dax125 being released in the US this month?
@MiniBikeMike4 ай бұрын
@@Smallbore2wheels Zero interest, for a couple reasons: 1) I wouldn’t call myself a fan of all motorcycles, just the little Hondas from my youth. Even the CT70’s after 1978, I really have no interest in those. I didn’t have a Dax125 as a kid, so I don’t desire one now. 2) A big part of my enjoyment from this hobby is taking the broken down derelicts and reviving them into something useful. Obviously, this is a new bike, nothing for me to work on. The Dax125 falls into the same category as the Monkey125, the CT125, etc…….I don’t own any of them, because I have no connection to them, they’re not bikes from my youth.

i may have missed it, but be cool if you go over the setup again, front rear sprocket, that exhaust etc. i have the new clone out and about, running a 16 front 32 rear, cush drive and the 120/70/12 tires and wheels and the nibbi 22mm carb, flat n level she is seeing 51-52 , the jetting is the 98 and needle all the way up, clip in lowest place. not sure it will do any more, but like you say, man at 45-48 it humms alone sweet. those bigger wheels i put on made a big improvement. I also put on some mx bars, so much better then the stock fold down. coming from the east, I grew up back east, that area your in is sweet! i loved it growing up thru there. now, coming back, i hope you gave yourself some extra time, gonna be a lot of rain and wind coming. you may know, friday we have ole wind warnings out all thru here and your home area too. all the way up here past the fort wayne area, sure enjoying your videos! Be safe!!! have fun!

@@mshadow64 This bike has 18/37 gearing, on 3.00x14 tires. Exhaust is cheap Amazon $60 exhaust. Lifan 125cc semiauto, with Nibbi 22mm. Nibbi is stock, straight out of the box, no adjustments. You might try putting the Nibbi back to stock settings. I’ve found it’s set perfect for 125 engines. You should be seeing 57-59mph.

@@FSEVENMAN The stock tank, under the seat, is solely a “reserve”…..in case I run out. The auxiliary tank on the back holds 1.5 gallon+. I was getting 70mpg, so I was stopping every 70 miles or so, to refuel. That worked out great….I was ready for a break about every 70 miles.
