Uncommonly known to most, Tom Ford makeup is owned by Estée Lauder. So if they fall under that parent company and use the same formulas for drugstore make up. Same products different label.. insanely different price 😉
@XverreauX3 жыл бұрын
Their whole aesthetics reminds me of Estée Lauder, so that make sense. I used to work for them and their packaging looks the same.

That is true. You pay for a name. Bobby Brown, Tom Ford and SL are almost the same.

And Estée Lauder is now owned by L’Oréal that happened back in 2017 or 18, I believe. So people are literally just paying for the name Tom Ford…

Hi Milani 🤗 I love these high-end full face make up videos! If you can sometime soon... I've been dying for you to do a full face of Guerlain products. I love a majority of what they make, and would love to know you honest opinion on them. They're lipstick packaging is so beautiful and so are the colors, however I felt like their formula falls short. Hope all is well with you and your family 😊

I’ve been watching all of the makeup videos from expensive to cheaper. So far, Tom Ford looks nice on your skin. The eyeliner pen from Tom Ford and Chanel both have lovely eye pens. Have you tried the English brand, By Terry? An amazing brand, from the creams with Hyaluronic acid in it to just facial cream. I am working on trying to get the correct color foundation because I am guessing. I haven’t found a store that carries By Terry so I can test the foundation. The foundation has nice coverage except for the wrong color. By Terry makes the best pressed powder and equally amazing loose powder. I think I prefer the loose powder except that means I can’t drive and put on loose powder. The By Terry eyeshadow is incredible with stunning packaging to match. I took pictures of the design of the eyeshadow before I used it. The Eiffel Tower pressed into the eyeshadow was beautiful. Another lovely product is the Rose Hand Cream and Rose Lip Gloss that is super moisturizing. I went through two tubes of the Rose Lip Gloss when I was in the hospital. I normally wouldn’t have used such a fancy lip moisturizer on my lips but that was all I had and because of Covid I couldn’t go to the hospital gift shop to get a cheaply lip moisturizer. My lips looked great and smelled great besides being super duper soft. One can’t go wrong with By Terry. I know I didn’t go wrong with By Terry but my wallet took a big hit. Cheers!

The quad you chose to use looks JUST like Cover Girl's Shimmerimg Sands, which has 3 shades and was the first ever eyeshadow I owned as a teenager and was my absolute favorite! Now, at 40, if I put a shimmery color in my crease, omg, I look 90! I love to use the shimmers on my lid and inner corner but can't in the crease for sure. Also just a side note- no luxury mascara- no matter what the brand is- will ever replace my Maybelline Colassal Cat eye with the leopard print top, combined with the Loreal Butterfly mascara and Estee Lauder's Little Black Primer to start. Edited to Add- I use both of those mascaras in blackest black as well as in the waterproof form and EL LBP will hold the curl from the start as that's what it's made for. I can get the BEST Lash results with those 3 mascaras and I have barely any lashes and they're stick straight. So I will never abandon those!

I cannot in good conscience spend $1,000 on any makeup. That's insane. Frankly, I think many of the drugstore cosmetics look better than the Tom Ford and performed better, as well. In particular, the bronzer and blush are far too dark and orangey. Drugstore product you have used in the past look so much better. FYI, I really love your videos! I've learned some new makeup techniques that are very flattering for my own look. I love seeing little Emorret, too. Such a cutie 💓

While I have not yet worked with Tom Ford cosmetics, I find a significant difference between drugstore and luxury products. They look different, smell different, and behave differently. Chanel and By Terry are two instances of the excellence that can be bought with a few more dollars.

I like TF products, but the mascara isn’t great, I agree. The contour and the bronzer reads super orange on the video. I have the shade and light, but I use the lightest 0.5. If you want to splurge, the eyeshadows are next level, and the cream ones I really love. The emotion proof cream shadows don’t budge. The quads have such beautiful colors; I was wearing pretty baby this weekend and got so many compliments. I have been able to buy some shadows and lips on Amazon for much less, all NIB.

Everytime I go to Sephora, I avoid the Tom Ford section. I have absolutely no interest in paying $55 for a lipstick or $88 for foundation. There is no way the products are THAT much better than Hourglass or Dior, etc, in my opinion. As a matter of fact, the $1 eye shadows from Shop Miss A were wayyy better.🤩

@@DMV8662 I haven't tried either one, but Milana did a fabulous look with the $1 shadows and it lasted all day. I have oily lids and wear most of Tom Ford eyeshadow without any primer. It looks the same even after the 10hr mark. The eye primer is crap though. He'll make two exquiste products and the next would be wtf? For the price range, everything should be stellar. The only consistently good, expensive makeup on the market is Pat McGrath. Charlotte Tilbury's new matte eyes to mesmerise is like putty on the eyelids and Natasha Denona still can't make foundation to save her life...or a travel friendly mini palette that doesn't crumble no matter how much bubble wrap used.

Every time you told the price, I cringed a little. I do own some luxury items, but I’m selective about what I buy when it’s expensive and I’ll do a lot more research into before splurging. No amount of good reviews or research will make me want to shell out $88 for 4 small eyeshadows!

It just goes to show that just because a product has a prestigious name that you can get WAY BETTER AND WAY CHEAPER PRODUCTS FROM THE DRUGSTORE! You can’t beat Milani products on price and they actually work! Even ELF, Wet n Wild, Colour Pop and Makeup Revolution all perform better than A LOT of high end products. As a makeup artist I have my favourite products from luxury companies and also a mixture of drugstore products that I use on myself and my clients! I guess what I’m saying is that I “Cherry Pick” my favourite products from drugstore to high end so that I can get a full face of flawless makeup 💄. I was so shocked by your $1 makeup haul Milana and you actually looked beautiful! It’s insane, but then when you said that the products used to make them in no doubt China really made me not reach for ordering anything from them. My favourite color is purple and I loved the eyeshadow palette. I just wish that they didn’t use shady products to make their makeup products. As always I am sending you lots of love and kisses and prayers always darling. To You, Andrey and baby Emorett 🥰💋🙏🥰💋🙏🥰💋🙏 XOXO

I wish that brands like this and Dior would leave the brushes out of the package. It seems like no one uses them and it would be nice to have a smaller palette for less money/waste. Buying top brands of makeup, jewelry, etc. That money is better spent helping the needy, which of course, you don’t go around bragging about. You and your husband have beautiful souls.
