If you _really_ wanted to make the most of your budget, get a 6800, but stroll over to your nearest Microcenter (if there is one near you) and get a 7600X3D instead of a 7700X for even more performance for only $20-$30 more. Otherwise, 7700X is it unless you want to get a Ryzen 7700 from Aliexpress for like $220 with no cooler and then spend more on the GPU.

Thank you for a great content! Looking to build a new PC and your tutorials have been very helpful! Got two questions: 1. Do you think it makes sense to buy PC parts (in particular GPU) now with some parts already being out of stock before Black Friday even begun? 2. What is the card that you are talking about when unpacking 7700xt, is it 6800?😅
@Northkalman4 күн бұрын
If you can get a 6800 for cheap like sub $340 or a 6800xt sub $400 then its a better deal than the 7700xt, assuming it is available for those prices. 6800 is very efficient and cold and runs 1440p high settings just fine. 6800xt trade blows with a 7800xt or sometimes beat it or lose by 5% and also beats the 4070 or a 3080ti.

What are your thoughts on the id cooling Frozen a620 vs. freezer 36? ztt says its the king of budget cpu cooler. also isn't it worth getting the 7600 then the 7,500F just because of the IGPU? let's say if the dedicated graphics card shuts down because of some sort of issue, there's no way to access it, and you need the IGPu to Open your PC and troubleshoot.

@@Blaidd7542 i got great deals the sapphire nitro 7700 XT was £291 on amazon not long ago seemed too good to be true i got it the day before for £314 it was only that price for a day then back to £450 and i got the 7700 for £130 off ali express and i used a budget friendly Corsair 4000D copy that was £40.99 which wasn’t great but wasn’t bad at all and put it on a a620m pro rs board as its actually a really good board and can support a 7950x fairly well as it has 165W board power but i would never be using a 7950x anyways as im just gaming and it had all the m.2s and everything i would need then i just got a cheap £20 tower cooler that keeps the cpu at 70C while being quiet as-well. So i did cheap out on alot of things but i researched and found what things to cheap out on and not get some really bad a620 board that is limited to 80w etc and have a capable 1440P gaming PC only thing i would do next time is probably get a £40-50 tower cooler or the arctic 360mm aio which is usually 76.99 to keep the cpu cooler but 70C on these cpus is no issue

thoughts on a r9 5900x + 7900xt + 64GB ram?
@ScatterVolt5 күн бұрын
If you're building that brand new, then save on the GPU and invest in a ryzen 7000 CPU, like a 7700x or 7600x3d.

@@ScatterVoltgotcha. i already got both parts during prime day. i got the 5900x for $220 and the 7900XT for around $530. the 5900x had like a 60% discount or something so i got it due to a tight budget

@@jamescharles5367Sell the 5900x for a higher price that you bought it

@@jamescharles5367 i don't think you're gonna 64gb of ram unless you're doing some professional editing or something like that, if the system is just for gaming and streaming even lite editing, 32gb should be enough. I would say cut on the ram and up the cpu to 7000 series u'll have ddr5 ram as well with that

I understand that the 4060 ti 8gb is aging, but is the 4060 ti 16gb worth it ?
