Are there many crayfish in this lake? I'd be hard pressed to not throw a jig up around the shore/docks

There are but the big ones are roaming suspended in water column hunting herring. You usually gotta cover water pretty quick to catch the big ones. I think a jig is pretty inefficient way at targeting them. And I LOVE jig fishing!
