Why do non-travelling railway staff board AC coaches - are they permitted ? Do the banker and front loco pilots not have wireless communication ? Honking may have been necessary half century back but now ? Indian Railways seriously needs to develop a full fledged voice communication system between loco pilot, train manager, banker loco and signalling station master (till centralized signalling control through Dispatcher as in USA or Europe in introduced in India). Communication can enhance safety, smoother traffic and faster movement.
