One thing I forgot to note in this video is that the crank, rods, pistons, bearings, rings, and flywheel will all be going to the machine shop to get properly balanced before assembly. It’s always a good idea to rebalance when changing critical components.

so after finishing the video wished I would have just waited until the end to comment oh well. You have a very meticulous approach and don't take this the wrong way I am absolutely the same way, but the tighter on your high to low tolerances the longer you will be able to beat on your 1000hp engine. also the deck and head surfaces should be resurfaced but I get it costs money. now with that last statement you spared no $$$ on your turbo..... I build engines for a living and it is those small meticulous things that add up to being the difference between beating on your engine for a couple years or 5-6 years before needing to freshen up. but i do understand it comes down to time and money. love the channel just subscribed.

I have a question, Why would you use plastigauge when you already have a dial bore gauge? the dial bore gauge is more accurate by a long ways. plastigauge works but its more for the guys that don't have proper tools to get the job done.
