Probably because you're using only 3 cylinders (US model does) but it'll run on all 6 when it needs to, so it needs to compensate. The saying goes, it's better to under work a larger engine, than over work a small engine.

I am convinced I was going to wait for a diesel F150, but I am sticking with Honda

I would have gotten a Ridgeline myself but I have a 4 cyl diesel Chevy Colorado and I will stick with mine

They don't make a long bed version. Didn't back when this was made, and they don't now either sadly. You could Google stuff like that you know or just go to the Honda page and read stats.

I tend to use the eco mode more in town/city and it helps with fuel economy slightly but on the highway with the eco mode off I get better fuel economy! Kinda crazy but I drove from toledo to Chicago on the highway and got 23mpg and that was with regular 89 octane fuel. Do you think using the higher octane helped? Anyway love the truck! I have the RT awd model but the black addition looks awesome!

So 87 is more efficient than 91? You maintained relatively same speed?

Zhar same efficiency so premium just cost more. Used adaptive cruise control the whole time

No need to put premium gas in Hondas, only Acura requires premium gas because it's a higher compression engine, just like ALL turbo engines.

I think eco mode save fuel in city, when you are in the highway in 6 gear you can save more... I mean how...
