Lo primero que hay que hacer es apoyar el contrapunto a la pieza.Despues aproximar las garras del plato a el diámetro de la pieza,después ir ajustando la concentricidad y el centrado de la pieza en el plato de amarre.Fundamental,lo primero apoyar el contrapunto a la pieza

You have touched on a good subject, congratulations. We have the chrome plating of this ROD done outside. When putting it in the boiler or during shipment or lifting and lowering, they damage the piston side, so I process the piston side after it is chrome plated and delivered.

Your work procedure is unsafe . This should be done with a steady rest to help support while it is being machined . This would also enable deeper depth of cuts with higher feed rates .
