SWEET, I just hooked up my Dualtron Storm battery to my Wolf King GT and I can say this thing is now the ultimate scooter. Basically 67AH. Check out my latest video's on it...

How can I drive with the additional battery in the meantime? Are there pros and cons nowadays? How has it gone now? Could you make a detailed description of the connections? Would be nice of you Otherwise very interesting to hear more from. thanks

To be honest, I have now converted to Electric Unicycle, The last time I have riden the Mantis Pro was last year around October 2021, not very sure on the month. I lost the diagram Carter sent me, But if you contact Carter Nordium, I am sure he be happy to help. The Cons for adding another battery is it makes the Mantis pro heavier when lifting it to my car, that's it. The pro out ways the con if you do a lot of long trips.

@@newbie101 Thanks for the feedback. Already done, thanks. In the meantime I have installed 2x 18.2Ah 36.4Ah and can travel a good 120km in the parallel circuit. In winter it is less. Have fun with the unicycle and all the best.

Love this. Amazing. What battery did you wire up as I am wanting to do exactly the same thing! Andy

I wonder, Mantis have speed limiter cable as many other scooters, unplugging the cable removes the speed limit, so I wonder if it is possible to make it into a on/off switch somewhere outside instead of plug/unplug inside the deck via simple on/off switch/button, what do you think?
@newbie1013 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea, I just have no idea how to do that. Fred destylist did that on his mantis pro, wonder if you ever see his post.. Maybe on the Mantis pro international page.

do you charge the external battery separately before connecting it to your scooter?
@newbie1012 жыл бұрын
When I first got the battery, I have to charge it to 100% before connecting it to the Mantis internal battery ( Both batteries have to have the same state of charge). After that I charge them together thru the Mantis Pro charging port, for they are already parallel connected.

How tall is that battery? Is it the same size as the original 24.5ah battery looks a little shorter. Saying this because im looking for a bag for my external battery and i cant seem to find one 48cm tall to fit my battery
@timcarranza11463 жыл бұрын
Hi, is your external battery is same specs with the internal?
@newbie1013 жыл бұрын
yes, just lower wattage.
@dbbuster12383 жыл бұрын
do you run both batteries at the same time? or do you have a switch that turns on each battery? i heard it's bad to run both batteries at the same time unless you have a FBC.
@newbie1013 жыл бұрын
I do not know what FBC is, but I have it connected in parallel, so it's running as one battery.

could I have more information on the link? In the single motor can I take an xt60 splitter and connect the second battery to it? thank you
@newbie1013 жыл бұрын
Do you have a mantis pro with 60 Volt? if so, yes mantis is using xt60, yes you can add an external battery to single motor. But if your scooter is the 52V I do not know what plug it uses. just click on the link above and message Carter Nordium, he will have to customized it, because all he does is the Segway max mainly. He did the splitter for me, but if you can do it yourself, all you have to order is the battery, just make sure he know what model is your scooter, single motor, how many watt hour do you want.
@jimidallomo79973 жыл бұрын
@@newbie101 thanks for the answer 😌I have a single mantis lotore 500w with a 25A control unit like the 800w, I wanted an additional battery. what should i watch to buy it? is 48v, there are 1000, 2000w batteries can I mount them or not? thank you
@newbie1013 жыл бұрын
@@jimidallomo7997 So you need a 48Volt battery, the watt hour will be your preference, 1000 or 2000 will be ok, so it will depend how heavy and big you want to be carrying on the outside of your scooter. I decided with 1000 wh ext. battery, because I do not want it to be too big and heavy.
@jimidallomo79973 жыл бұрын
@@newbie101 so the watt hours are not related to the motor power right? did the mantis pro with the second battery also gain you in speed and recovery?
@newbie1013 жыл бұрын
@@jimidallomo7997 no relation to more power to the wheel, more on mileage wise. That was my purpose too to gain more miles in one ride. To gain more power you need to up the voltage of the battery, upgrade the controller for more amp.

Brill what’s the biggest ah battery I could put on a mantis lite 48v, I’ve opened it up and the battery in it has got lots of wiggle room so thinking about looking for a bigger battery what actually fits in the tray
