I believe that Gary using the word "Sacred" makes sense. If people would wrap their minds around it or should I say hearts and go into their marriage knowing who created marriage they really would understand how sacred marriage really is there wouldn't be a need for divorce.

BlueStarArt, your reasoning would look like this: "if life were sacred, there would be no murder or rape." That doesn't make sense at all. Precisely because marriage is sacred, divorce and spousal abuse are horrible things. And precisely because life is sacred, holy, given to us by God, that it is wrong to murder, abuse others, etc, because without God, we have no good meta-ethical basis for good and bad.
