Fico feliz em ver um lugar tão bonito e civilizado. Aqui no Brasil o povo é mau educado. Se sairmos com um trailer desse,passam de carro por cima de nós.

Another helpful addition would be regenerative brakes when going down hills for charging back up the batts. And maybe if you're going for overkill, you could have a wind generator that gathers a trickle charge when going down hill and when taking a break or sleeping overnight. Would need some way to disengage the motor from it and allow it to be freespinning during normal travel so it doesn't create drag. Having that additional generative capability, and the ability to charge overnight with the wind and during the day with the sun really opens up the potential for long range off grid travel. Potentially even a little Pelton wheel to capture the fall configured alongside a passive rain collection system, shedding the excess that doesn't fill the tanks and harvesting a trickle charge of power during the whole process. So even when it's raining you're generating.

This is what I was thinking of, An efficiency focused 250w Direct drive hub motor on the front fork for cruising efficiency at an enjoyable and leisurely pace on flat bike paths and roads and as regen braking. And reserving the more powerful Mid Drive for uphill sections Regen braking has the benefit of massively reducing wear on your mechanical brakes too A pure Dynamo focused Hub wheel used as a regenerative braking system would be an interesting thing, as motors intended for actually driving a vehicle don't tend to be as efficient for generating electricity as a specifically designed dynamo

9:00 lol but in an isolated place like this no one would bother you. I did a bike trip this summer and did wild camping a bit in Germany and all was fine, even that one time some walkers spotted me with my tent but no troubles happened.....

These little trailers are also ideal for hauling gear around to markets, fairs, converts, art shows. You could load up with your art, 10'x10' canopy tent, one or more folding plastic tables, add some folding camping chairs. You're all set.

Silly question time....Here in America there are small generators for bikes, that use the wheels as they are turning, to produce power! Do you not have anything like this in Europe? It would charge your batteries as you pedal down the road....

Another great video. Nice to see your wife and pet traveling with you. I'm impressed with the amount of miles (kms) that you travel each day. I am sure that is partly because of physical conditioning. In the US bicycles are more for recreation and not primary transportation. When I show friends a picture of your camper and tell them I want build a similar camper to pull with a recumbent reverse trike. My friends think I am crazy. The trike builder is installing a 52.5v, 1400watt Bafang mid-drive with a 14speed internal geared rear hub instead of a derailleur system. I will install a single 600watt solar panel on the bike and 4@150watt panels on the camper. My camper will be a little wider and longer than your camper because I am planning an electric incinerating toilet and a solar shower. I also want to haul 30 days supplies for long-term off grid camping. Estimated weight is 600lbs (272kg).

Sounds like a plan Bo . I am going to build one too but on side hustle money so who knows when my Wohnwagen will be finished . Ultimately I was to put a carbon fibre shell over a recumbent bike , too . Just starting to research Solar generators . Maybe you should video your build ?Also what part of the world are you in currently . I am in Louisiana.

What do you think of the Aliner? It is an A-frame design for a camping trailer. I was wondering if it would be worthwhile adapting that design for bike trailers? More time to set up, but less wind resistance while riding and possibly more room.

Would a aerodynamic capsule over the bike and rider (motorized recumbent bike) make things easier? Same goes for the camper, if reshelled would allow for less air resistance/more efficiency. Also, covering every possible exposed surface with solar and maybe rain collection?
@remyllebeau773 жыл бұрын
Solar panels have toxic parts, so I'm not sure mixing your drinking water with them would be good. Plus I don't think the surface is big enough anyways. I do like the recumbent idea as it would be more comfortable.
