Nobody is trying to get disqualified so nobody is going to be trying to anticipate the starting pistol. Track races are the only sport where a genuine mistake gets you disqualified. W cannot even be sure that it is not an error in the timing equipment. Let the events be more transparent call false starts that can be verified at least with the human eye otherwise call it faulty.

Good morning l have questioned that rule for years. My take on it l think it should not be a false start if there is no discernable movement before the gun is fired.
