A league of their own was my favourite of 2022. It reminded me of the summer I discovered Lost Girl and The last Tango in Halifax. I was equally obsessed!! Cannot say enough good things about it. Magnificent!!

@@100percentshipper Evelyn Dar put me onto it. It's a short film in a trio of short films called Ajeeb Daastaans on Netflix. That story starts an hour or so into the movie and it's about a realistic love story between two Indian women from different castes.

Nice list, now I have even more I need to watch! Some of my highlights were: 1 Gentleman Jack Might be the best Sapphic show I've ever seen. 2 Chucky Its whacky premise and storylines are right up my alley. Plus, Oscar-nominated actress Jennifer Tilly!😄 3 Everything Everywhere All At Once A heartwarming masterpiece. 4 Vigil At least this managed to get a second season. 5 Scream 5 Not a good movie imo, but I'm always happy when a Neve Campbell movie reaches a theatre near me. Not too excited about 6 though. No Neve and more Melissa Barrera? Ugh, you can count me out. (Unless Sam kicks the bucket in the opening or if she turns out to be the next Ghostface, that *might* draw me back in. I honestly would love to see Hayden Panettiere hack up that talentless hack in the finale. Seriously, Barrera makes Gal Gadot look like a half-decent actr- Sorry, it's hard to stop when I start talking about the Scream franchise. I'll see myself out now.)

Have yet to watch A League of Their Own but it's on top of my list and will get to it right when I have the time and motivation. Have been able to avoid spoilers so far😅 Also Doctor Who... Thasmin😭 I haven't actually watched the last ep yet cause I know it will end badly and cause I will really miss Jodie, but I need to eventually. Don't want to watch the next season at all but if they bring back David AND Catherine (Donna, my forever fave companion🤧) I might have to🙈😩 Ok. As to my highlight of last year - altho a soap and not a series or film - Eastenders. Not the show itself, obviously (tho I have been kinda sucked in to some other characters along the way..), but the storyline of Suki and Eve. Granted, I only started the episodes like a week ago (and already finished😶) - however the storyline started around the middle of last year so I thought to mention it. It's a pretty great one and not even close to getting a conclusion yet so I'm excited what this year brings. There really isn't any other wlw soap/telenovela storyline going on atm which makes me extra happy we have Sukeve. Even better that it's an enemies to lovers relationship 👌🏻😝 And at least we have the comfort that it won't get axed cause it's a soap - altho apparently it does have quite low viewership rates

@@100percentshipper Channel It's Emma Lav has the only playlist I have found so far (tried linking but it seems the comment didn't go through..). I think it has all their scenes together but not sure as I watched their storyline to this point from the full episodes on Dailymotion, rewinding the scenes I don't care about. Sukeve really has become my favourite UK soap ship ever; I'm even liking them more than Vanity. I just really adore both Suki and Eve a lot.

I too was crushed about Paper Girls! That show had SO much potential and I’m crushed we don’t get to see KJ’s story unfold into her coming to terms with her queerness as well as if her relationship with Mac would’ve blossomed 😩

Years ago with I came out as lesbian to my conservative Welsh nan I expected all sorts of pain and trouble. My nan was a bomb girl (made bombs in a dangerous factory) during WW2 . She replied "yeah we had them in the war lot of men not around".
