Before the show aired I was surveyed to see if I found the name "Schitt's Creek" offended me. It suggested a few alternate names, like "Dildo" and "Crapeau. (Dildo is in Newfoundland, and Crapeau in on Prince Edward Island).

I can’t speak for the pronunciation of Levy, but when it comes to O’Hara, the creator has pronounced it correctly. It’s an Irish name and that is how we pronounce it.
