I've watched your stories when you've made your maple sugar before. Is it possible to make it with maple syrup that's been stored for a while or is it best to do when it's fresh?

I made the mistake of vacuum sealing my dried apples last fall and now I have hard blocks of dried apple to deal with!

We vacuum seal ours in a glass jar, and they stay loose AND crunchy!
