I bought one today, but don't have it home yet. I've never run one and have a lot to learn. Hopefully my lessons won't be too expensive.

Like you said, lots of moving parts, I’m looking for a unit to speed up our small bale operation, these older machines might be the ticket.

Great video man! Just got a broken down 1012 - May want to pick your brain about 2nd table return (I think i need to adjust the piece that trips it to go back down) and the cable on the back of the load table "fingers" (that move back with loading, forward with unloading) is broken

Do you have manual for it? I had to replace that same cable, if still on machine draw on paper how it goes around pulleys etc helps when replacing.

@@sneezeacres5240 Yes I thankfully have a manual . . . I think my big problem is that those loading forks that move, are so loose in their tracks that they get jammed . . . I think I might need to bend things a little to get them to run smooth, and get some of those spacers . . ..do you put any grease/lube on the tracks/channel?

Those loading forks require no oil or grease in that channel...AND not sure youd want to as the dust would adhere to that and cause all sorts of problems. There are those large bushings about 3 inch diameter and some smaller ones that run in and along that channel. I DO try to spray wd40 into those bushings where they attach to forks just to keep them from rusting and hopefully roll and not scoot. I know that when I got mine those were froze and didnt roll so might check those when your replacing the cable as you will be able to..can also tilt back and try to roll with finger.. I actually took mine off and welded on them and ground alittle to get them to be round again as whoever used it before me ran them flat..if rusted that may be partof the not running smooth that and cable loose..
