1025R: BXpanded Quick-On Back Hoe Connector

Bouncing back and forth from good to crappy weather. I install the BXpanded quick on hoe bucket connector and review. Show you a few of my errors and what you need to know before you curl your bucket or ripper.

Watched this video several weeks ago and that got me to contact BX Expanded and order the trencher and quick disconnect like you got. Now if I known it would take 7 weeks for them to ship it, I may have gotten it elsewhere. Well it just arrived. Got my bucket sitting on a table and watching this video again to see the master at work 😊

You should look into the thumb that Bxpanded has for the backhoe as well. Would make quick work of clearing those culverts

I have the BXpanded quick connect for my Mahindra Max28 -- it's virtually the same backhoe as your JD260. The quick connect works really well, albeit with no interference issue with the arm on my Mahindra. I use the trailer hitch attachment the most, when I need to maneuver my unloaded trailer into its regular parking spot. Nice job on the quilt, Karen! Thanks for the video.

The quick connect bucket clearance problem is not there my 270b, I was surprised to see the issue on the 260. Glad to see your workarounds, good stuff

Looks like a little muscle memory with backhoe at the start. I see my struggles in the same way. I move a lever and it didn’t do what I expected. As always, I enjoy your adventures.

I have that same attachment.. Love it. I have that scrape on my boom from the bucket teeth from not only my fault, but also from drifting down. I would also be watchful of your lynch pin on the quick attach.. Ive lost several of them from heavy bucket use.. Have a few extra on hand just in case.

Oh scraping there. I never worried or thought about that. I thought you were saying when fully closed the tooth hitting just above the quick hinge on the last video. I always close the bucket before bringing everything together. Yea, that looks correct, I believe the Kubota version of the quick connect goes on the other way with the hooks at the bottom instead on the front/top. I always struggled with the lynch pin and the snap ring, the ring isn't big enough to go over the round piece surrounding the pin and wants to unlatch. Looks like yours was ok though.

I've lost 2 lynch pins already. Last one I put on was snug, had to use some channel locks to persuade it. I'll see how long that last. Might need to invest in a metal detector:)

Hey, I just wanted to let you know for next time you grease the pins for quick tach for the backhoe if you open your bucket there’s a hole in the Pivot arm that allows to get straight on the grease fitting so you don’t have to be a an angle and get grease everywhere.

If you're not at a loss for space, simply lower the bucket to the ground with the dipper away from the boom. You can't miss that when you go to get on it the next time.

I am thinking about the b expand quick attachment for my backhoe. But probably will build it my self there’s attachments that I want to build for my backhoe. Great video

I would really like to get into welding. First thing I'd like to try is to make a 3pt frame for an ATV sprayer. Always thought about a stick welder.

First let me say that the quilt came out very nice. Enjoy it. I have the BX Ripper and I was unsure about getting the quick connect portion. I will have to see how you like it and if it's worth it. At this time, I don't plan on any other attachments for the BH. (But that could change LOL)

It seems so far I bounce back and forth between the ripper and bucket. I can swap them out in less than 2 minutes. I was resistant to spending the extra $$ but found I would be less likely to using the ripper otherwise.

I'm thinking (DANGER Will Robinson! Stand back!) The idea of the quick connect is to make bucket attachments easy to hook and unhook. I know my bucket bleeds down so no biggie to leave it off unless I need it. if it is not there it cannot contact the upper arm, right?

Did you check your local codes for that shower? In our area in CT you have to have blue board behind the shower surround.

Our area is called green board rot resistant around the top. None behind shower stall directly on the studs.

I have wondered if the extension of the dipper (using the bxpanded adapter) increases or decreases the amount of force applied

I have not noticed a difference with the extension. Some have commented that they felt it decreased the back hoes leverage. The ripper being such a small surface does have more force then the bucket. Overall comments from people using both are positive.

I want soooo many of those bxpanded items but the difference from CDN/US funds plus shipping, duty. It hurts too much to purchase. 😢

Maybe the tread off of an old tire could pad that up for the life of your tractor.
