Literally, good. She walked away from a male dominated record industry that left her feeling broke. Dua Lipa is lucky to have made it this far without lawsuits, shutting down, vacations, hiatus etc. Raye was physically and mentally abused during her musical venture with record labels and she even made her own material, Dua will probably live to be 45 and end up overdosing on pills thinking she was a talented success and then feel empty when the men around her stop writing for her and stop producing her pop music. Raye will make music until she wants to stop. There is a big difference.

I just love that she’s so joyful in life but more so when she performs. It’s rare to see an artist truly love every element of what they do. She’s also spoken with great passion about the background artists and musicians. They are integral to her performances not a side note. Raye loves musicianship. She loves the craft of creating music and she’s so passionate about it that when you listen to her talk about it, it is just so genuine and heartfelt. She’s a musician who does not fit the mould, she has no genre, maybe only Gaga in recent years has done that also. But Raye feels more accessible somehow and people love her for it. She wears her heart on her sleeve and her honesty is breathtaking. Ice cream man is performed differently every time and each listen you get something extra. She is an extraordinary talent of this lifetime and probably many lifetimes. I aim to see her perform live one day and I already know I will be blown away.

Music from the past was Some of the richest music to have been created , it wasn’t just production value , It was soul and passion behind the voices . I worry for this young girl as these recent generations haven’t known true music nor the quality and integrity behind lyrics and songs written with emotional quality . these days it’s all superficiality and anyone can auto tune an vocal , most of todays artists prove you don’t need a vocal range Or ability to be a music artist , they over produce what inherent natural traits aren’t there and it’s not organic , therefore I worry for this beautiful woman as I hope she is appreciated the way she deserves in todays low dumbed down standards of soul . Back when I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s , she would have been really understood and uniquely celebrated, those of us from that era recognized this type of real passion behind musical creativity . I hope she teaches others what true talent and natural ability is and how deep it dwells and how special it has to embrace and encompass it .

​@@Chiefall speculation of course. But I don't think they asked her to be amy, but probably to use her voice. The singing by the actress has been heavily critized. Raye probably said no to that, all the comparisons are flattering but she wants to be known as Raye. Accepting this would really hinder her and how others see her as an artist.
