I lived in caravans while freelancing in UK for around 6 years, its not cheap and is pretty rough in winter, and this video is a pretty honest report. Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We aim to portray the reality of living in a caravan, showcasing both its pros and cons. Unlike many vanlife vloggers who often present an idealized version of this lifestyle, we believe it's important to highlight both sides of the coin. Every experience has its challenges and rewards. Thanks for tuning in!

I think the only viable option available to be able to live in a caravan is working on campsites. Unfortunately in the UK there is alot of stigma associated with caravans trying to camp for free, and I think that vanlifers are heading that way due to the lack of respect to the area they stop over( not all vanlifers, but it only takes one to tarnish the rest of them)

Hey Graham! Thanks for being such a loyal viewer! We completely understand your point. The behavior of some vanlifers can indeed affect the reputation of all. That's actually one of the reasons why we shifted away from vanlife ourselves. It's essential for all of us to be respectful of the areas we stay in. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!

Thanks, and apologies for the late reply. Im not reall concerned about the battery as im hooked up to electrics. I have a fixed water tank onboard the van as well as the roller. Is it necessary to sterilise the tank and pipes with a capful of bleach or something like that ?
@FreedomSeekers-FS20 күн бұрын
Hi, wouldn't use bleach as it may cause damage, better to get a dedicated product for cleaning/disinfecting water tanks. Thanks for watching! Kat

I see. My van just arrived today 🙂 and it has a 115ah battery.
@FreedomSeekers-FS4 ай бұрын
That's great news! A 115Ah battery is pretty standard. It should serve you well, but it all depends on what you want to power up. Make sure to manage your power usage wisely. Enjoy your new van!

There is eco friendly chemicals for caravan toilets now which means you can empty them in a septic tank or toilet.
@FreedomSeekers-FS4 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Eco-friendly chemicals are a great option for caravan toilets and are safe to empty into septic tanks or regular toilets. 🌿🚽

What can I run off a rechargeable leisure battery?
@FreedomSeekers-FS4 ай бұрын
You can run smaller devices like LED lights, phone chargers, and maybe a small fan. However, heavy power consumption devices like space heaters, washing machines, or dishwashers aren't suitable, as they would drain a typical leisure battery within a few minutes. Always check the power requirements of your devices before use!

If you have a site couldn't one use a caravan as an annexe?
@FreedomSeekers-FS5 ай бұрын
Hi, we've heard of such set up, but it wouldn't be allowed on our site :-) Kat

As a free human being, isn’t possible to live in caravan in UK, almost everything is banned. These horrible campsites with their sick prices(extortions)? No thank You.

Living in a caravan in the UK can be challenging due to regulations, but it's not impossible. There are legal ways to do it, such as finding residential sites or working at campsites like we do. It's true that some campsites can be expensive, but there are also more affordable options out there. Thanks for sharing your perspective!

I'm inclined to agree with you Konrad....... The UK is a nightmare for Red Tape and Regulations designed to deny anyone basic liberties. If you try and do anything legally and obtain permissions or licences..... You are charged astronomical amounts of money and a mountain of paperwork. However.... Do anything illegally...... No problem. The bureaucrats do not have a solution for lawbreakers. So they ignore them. Sad but true.
