“The most convincing sign that someone is truly living their best life, is their lack of desire to show the world that they're living their best life. Your best life won't seek validation.” That is the most valuable lesson I've learnt from watching this series.

Gina andCap. Chris are an amazing couple with total humility and human hearts. Gina trusted me and gave me a job at Safcom in 1999 to this day I hold the two dear to my heart. I intend to surprise them soon. Lots of blessings guys. I know Chris is an introvert personality while Gina is an extrovert(Great woman and a go getter) Gina has impacted so many lives both at her GDC and outside. When you talk of hard work, resilience and merit, Gina comes first to me.

Thanks Capt. Chris Kariuki, you've given us a very inspiring story of your carreer and your life.. Salutes for not settling for management job...very boring...esp. for a man who's hands-on, an introverted creative human. You are appreciated for your service... Enjoy the rest of your life, continue being human. Salutes!!!!

Today, I felt like I am in an aviation class. Kudos to Capt. Chris B. Kariuki, being his first interview in his 65years he has done exemplary well in a very cool yet composed manner with a touch of humor here & there. Great work CTA.

Currently doing my PPL and such stories just add fuel to my flame, CB's story is so inspirational, a good man who has left a footprint in Kenya's aviation industry. I have a First Officer friend who flies for Emirates says CB trained him on the 737. God bless you and your adventures in the future good man!

Captain being away most of the days somehow helped his relationship with Gina. When he states "he was missed and there was no time for arguments when he came back home". Absence is very key in all relationship and many don't know that and it creates that positive tension between 2 people. Lesson: sometimes let your better half be a Pilot

I am actually not surprised that Captain chose his craft over management for the same reasons he gives. I've worked with folks who brought their A-game as professionals in whichever discipline and preferred to stay true to that. It speaks to a love for their calling. That's why some Teachers will never be Principals 👊🏽 This interview was deeply insightful albeit short 🙂 Richie, thank you for bringing Captain 👊🏽👊🏽

I truly admire Capt G B Kariuki composure when articulating events of attempted coup of 1982.I vividly remember well that Sunday morning as we used to live in Nanyuki and my father was a civilian at Nanyuki barracks.I used to visit the air base over the weekend to enjoy the F 5s and the Hawk. The interview bring old memories as we used to attend school with children on the officers of the Air force and some of our teachers were wifes to some of those officers. The events of the attempted coup changed the scenario completely as we never saw some of the teachers and fellow pupil thereafter.

A-star, you should have asked more questions on why the Barbados charter flight was special. I suspect the charter flight was with H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, Amb. Monica Juma, CS R.O et all. They were there signing agreements afew weeks ago. Anyway, I love the discussion.
