Happy father's day. Don't ever talk bad about yourself. You're Gods creation. To speak ill of yourself is to speak ill of Gods handiwork. Your trap is steel. It can be cut and welded and fixed. You bought it it belongs to you. You know it's capabilities and we as viewers don't. You don't owe anybody an explanation of how you do things. Only you know what needs to be done. We are the guests here watching your videos. Don't do things that you have doubts about just to satisfy the curiosity of some viewer that doesn't know the workings.

First time viewer. Can't listen to the general public without knowing their background. Learned that at least 20 years ago. Been retired for decades now, but it amazes me how many back seat police experts out there. They literally tell cops about the job, when and how to do it while being safe at home behind the computer screen while never being in the shoes of officers. Besides that, Congrats on your success.

David, Deer flies are attracted to movement and colors. Black and blue are their favorite colors. I used to put tanglefoot paste on my truck mirrors and drive up and down my 800’ driveway and around the edges of my fields. Seriously I would have 150 flies stuck to each mirror, then just scape them off. Right near my house I put a “horse pal” and that trap can clear out a 20 acre area.

The way your man was swinging that hammer is evidence of years of experience. I worked with a team of blacksmiths for two weeks many years ago and I know that is an art grounded in experience. You sure he is not Thor's older brother? 🤣🤣 As for the welding I was taught how to do that over forty years ago but I have not welded since. that too is an art and watching a practitioner in action is educational.

True test of friendship is when you mess up they come to help you fix it and make like nothing ever happened. the joy of life is when you try and fail you can know that you tried and learn from that mistake. forgive yourself and know that even the best of us is tried! The journey we walk is not marked by the miles we walk but the people's lives we touch along the way, the more we give the great we will be missed when our journey ends. the fact that you are not wasting the bounty of your catch, that you feed families with meat so that they never go to bed hungry is a blessing. I know that you would do this even without the channel which makes you one of the better men and a great example of how we could like our lives. be plentiful in giving and show others that they have someone who cares. one love brother, happy trapping and lets hope the next adventure gives you some light heart comedic relief

In my area, Coweta & Fayette Counties, GA, it is forecast to rain Mon-Sun of this week, June 19-25. We have been pretty dry so far, so this should help. Today, June 18, at 2:55PM, it is 88F party sunny or cloudy. Take your pick. When I moved into my house on July 15, 1988, it was horribly hot & the horse flies were biting chunks out of our flesh. David, I hope you are having a great Father's Day. And Happy Father's Day to my Dad in heaven(He passed October 26, 2004 age 84).

Howdy Sir, good video. I have a few suggestions. When you need to move a trap use the Egyptian method, place round logs, pipe whatever under the steel supports of the trap then slowly pull the trap. Hopefully that will prevent trap damage. Try food grade grease on the trap slide friction points. Food grade grease, Crisco, or similar products. Third suggestion. Mount an ATV winch on the front of your trailer or in the back of the truck bed. Let the winch do the heavy lifting. I know it's slower then dragging but your body will thank you by not hurting when your my age. 4th suggestion if you mount a winch remove the steel wire and use AmSteel or similar synthetic rope. It's smaller in diameter but just as strong. You can get more line Amsteel line on the barrel of the winch to reach farther and make your life easier. Or make tow ropes of different lengths. Good luck, have a nice day.
@Soldierboy198611 ай бұрын
Strap placement wasn’t spread enough to take up a lot of the stress on the trap legs. Although the rear legs weren’t guaranteed not to bend or break, the front could’ve been prevented, but in the future, get you some of those Harbor Freight Tote sleds with the wheel’s placing the rear up on two of em, and zip tying them so the cage wont slip off, and while at it, do the side closest to the truck strap also, and then give it a pull. Depending on how muddy or dry it is will determine the size wheels that need to be on the sleds, dry and hard smaller wheels, muddy and wet, big mudder tires

I appreciate you showing how hard this can be; storms, poor service affecting the drop, pulling the cage out of round, mist obscuring the sight…sometimes every thing that can go wrong just does. I have a cousin who has offered to take me wild pig hunting here in California. I think his “operation” is just a dualie, and a rifle.
