Why are they no wearing protective head (ear) gear?

Although headgear is mandatory at scholastic competition during the traditional wrestling season, tournament management has discretion as to whether or not to mandate headgear at privately run off-season events such as this one. In this case, tournament management elected not to mandate headgear, and these wrestlers chose not to wear headgear since they were not required to do so.

Ino is good but, needs more muscles. Besides, he is taller than the opponent and I believe this gives him more advantage against the other guy

Ino having long hair had NO effect on the outcome of the match. Ray of team Gotcha just flat out was dominated by Ino's wrestling abilities. People who use their opponent's hair length as a excuse for their losing a match is NOTHING more than a excuse for losing.
