When you have a shutout, I look at the length of the match and whether it was decided by a Fall. In this match, Nic was the better wrestler overall and won on earned points. However, since the match lasted nearly 7 minutes, you know it was more competitive than the score. Owen extended the match by using freestyle defensive moves to avoid a Fall after a takedown and deserves some credit despite the loss.
