The factory edge indeed, it’s light, sharp, easy to move and quick to draw, my daughter got this for me (she has such awesome taste) i wanted to use a different cut but I figured the more experienced cutters would see it cut through very clean and the top fell into the static base before it all fell over😁

Looks beautiful, but how robust is it? Can it stand up to every-day use and handling as a cane? If it can't, then you can't use it every day, and it will not be there when you need it most. I actually have to wonder is a shorter blade would be more practical. At, say, 18", it would be easier/faster to draw and probably just as useful in a pinch. Even a 24" blade would be less unwieldy than a 3' blade. Just wondering.

@@armoredsweatpants3997 I am now 68 and I have been thinking of getting a cane or walking stick, because my age will appear to justify it. It would be more for self protection though, my age may make me a target. I have looked at self defense canes and sticks, the kind that are very sturdy and can be used to solidly whack a threat. I am concerned about canes or sticks with hidden weapons in them from a legal standpoint. I am concerned that those might make the police more of a threat than the thieves. It seems that these days it is illegal to defend yourself.

Thank you, it’s 1060 folded steel, the blade is modeled after a Chinese juan, very light, nimble blade that can be deployed in a half a second, my daughter used it in a cut on her “best of” vid this year, she totally exploited the dual edge beautifully, hope you’ll check it out😉
