How the Grinch Stole Christmas was the first book I remember getting by Dr.Seuss when I was a toddler. Mom and Dad read it to me a lot before I got the hang of reading when I was 41/2. I also remember The Cat In The Hat and many other Beginner Books. I was on a big Dr. Seuss kick when I was-er,under seven. I'm 65 now and have a lot of regard for all Seuss' books.

#74: Okay, about Dr. Seuss' quote, I would say that I were invited to a dinner party with his characters, especially the Grinch, COUNT ME IN! #95: As a kid, I always loved the animated film SO MUCH that I would watch it every Christmas. I used to like the Ron Howard version, but now as an adult, I went back to the original animated version. The animated film will always have a special place in my heart. I'm not surprised that Ron Howard's film (53%) was beaten by the animated film (100%) according to Rotten Tomatoes because remakes are usually mediocre.
