What camera do you use for the microscope and overhead pov?
@ToltecMerc Жыл бұрын
My microscope camera is a very generic HD camera. It has no name on it. That's how generic it is. I got off eBay. The other video is simply shot with my iPhone 12. I have pretty meager setup compared to some people.

@@ToltecMercI’ve been struggling with trying to fix one where the output is only 9V but disabling IC51 by either lifting leg 3 or removing Q32 altogether allows the supply to go to 12V. Tried a new optoisolator and new Q32 with no change. Ever seen one like that?

Great video,i learn so much from your content so thank you for that. Do you have or plan to have a discord? I would like your help if its not too cheeky. I have a 400dr that has the same symtoms as your second supply. Both mosfets fully shorted and resistor open. However my ic had some different readings than yours. Pin 1 is showing OL and pins 2 and 11 were short to ground. After removing the fets and resistor the short on pin 11 has gone but the short on pin 2 still remains. Is the ic likley to be dead or could something else be shorting it ? Or could the short dissapear once replace the fets and resistor when they arrive ? Thanks again 😊
@ToltecMerc Жыл бұрын
Well the short is not going to go away by installing the FETs. If you still have a short after the FETs are removed, either the DAP053 is bad or you have a shorted zener somewhere.
@paulhunt8500 Жыл бұрын
@@ToltecMerc Thank you for the reply. OK i changed out the DAP053 and pin 2 was still short, i removed each component on the line until short dissapeared and the culprit was the 3 pin mosfet marked 704Z so i changed that for a 7002?. all readings on the dap53 where now showing correct but the PSU was only outputting 9.5V when powered so i changed out the optocoupler on that line IC52? and still only outputting 9.5v. The main caps are showing 385v when powered . Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks
@ToltecMerc Жыл бұрын
@@paulhunt8500 you might also check Q32. I think you have changed Q34. Make sure ZD37 (8.2V) is good.

Regarding replacement parts, do you have a digital list of them and current quantity? Or you just have them in drawer and once you notice it goes low, you order more? Searching in excel is way faster than checking physically for example.
@ToltecMerc Жыл бұрын
I simply have them in drawers and order as needed when I see I am getting low. I don't really have a large number of parts. Just PS4 and PS5 parts and only the most common ones.

Can you recommend USA component suppliers? The fuse resistors I can’t seem to find any that compact, the ones I did find the top end is not long enough to go through the board with out extending.

@@ToltecMerc Thank you so much. I keep old paper version catalogs and consult them frequently for the technical names of the components (browsing the internet looking for parts makes me waste a lot of time sometimes). I did not know this manufacturer (yageo) nor that it was 2 Watt. I will include them in my next order. Thanks again and I mean that with complete honesty. All the best.

Hello, I have a question. I'm looking for a Mosfet that sits after the middle opto coupler on a PS5 power supply ADP-400DR. The name would be OAROBP or something similar. I can't find this component anywhere, is there another name? I need the part because it is short-circuited.
@ToltecMerc Жыл бұрын
If you are referring to IC132, you need a TL432 precision reference.
@Black-Repairs.1170 Жыл бұрын
@@ToltecMerc Yes, I mean the IC132. I have now added the TL432 to my inventory. Thank you for this information.
