ConcededHadesIV I think the problem is Young Justice didn't have to worry about studio rights. It was supported online by fans through Netflix. And it's third season is also being used to launch a Warner Brothers online video service. They have the rights and a potential reason to continue YJ. Spectacular Spider-man only has fans backing its return. We can hope though.

The reason why they cancelled Spectacular Spider-Man was because Sony Pictures Entertainment was producing the show, but they sold all Spider-Man television rights (including Live-Action) back to Marvel Entertainment, which was bought by The Walt Disney Company around the same time. Although Sony owned anything that had to do with that particular show. So, neither Marvel or Sony could make a third season.

Problem was, it wasn't that Disney wouldn't make it. It's that they couldn't. See, Disney purchased Marvel and all it's related properties at the time the show was being made.They still edged it out of existence by releasing Ultimate, but it was because the rights to Spectacular were not owned by Disney, but by Sony. Turning it into a real sticky scenario.

Ultimate Spiderman was the first comic book series that I collected volume after volume when I was a teenager. I've gotten into a bunch of other comics lately, including some more iconic and acclaimed stories like Watchmen, The Killing Joke, Invincible, The Infinity Gauntlet, The Sandman, The Dark Phoenix Saga, etc. but Ultimate Spidey series will always be special to me.

Spidey's 90s cartoon is the one I grew up with and the one I always picture whenever I think of him (and I consider Unlimited to be the sixth season of that show, no matter what common sense might dictate). Ultimate Spidey was pretty fun, too, especially with all of those unexpected team-ups, fun original plots, and nods to the most obscure comics imaginable. I'm looking forward to more of the same with the 2017 cartoon, and I'm absolutely pumped for Homecoming!

I really do liked Spider-Man animated Series from 1994 especially the theme song, but I still wished the writers made one last episode featuring Peter Parker/ Spider Man with Madame Web finding the real Mary Jane and then return to their reality as a proper happy ending instead of leaving the Series as a cliff hanger😒.

#76 Bendis stated how he loved writing the series for a younger audience. That's exactly my problem with Ultimate Spider- Man and Avengers Assemble. I don't know why all the superhero cartoons now have to be childish. It's possible to make them enjoyable for people of all ages.
