I used to live in Texas when hurricane Harvey swept we through the Houston area. My grandmother is a gardener and was “waiting” to plant her squash seeds for 4 years at the time. After the hurricane came and went, with the flooding might I add, plants started sprouting EVERYWHERE in the neighborhood. She got mine and the rest of the families hopes up saying “we might get watermelon here in the future” but as the days went on it was eventually found out to just be the squash seeds mentioned earlier. They became like weeds so she got me to pull them all out. Was fine with me I’m not very fond of squash lol
