My friends moms boyfriend recently got out serving 14 years, He told me some crazy ass stories, this one I remember, He’s used to be a tattoo artist in there and he was kicking it with one member that was affiliated and the guy walked up to somebody that owed him food, He pressed him and the dude said he wasn’t gunna pay him and he said that if he don’t there will be consequences. I love your show. I am one of the “older” viewers (68 in December). I taught parenting classes in prison and for Probation & Parole office in Shreveport, Louisiana. Also taught financial management & job preparedness classes. These classes were the most rewarding years of my career. I have fond memories & still some tears for many of my students. I called my ladies in prison my candy cane girls because their uniforms were red & white stripes, they loved their nickname. I hope I made a difference in at least some of their lives because many of them made a difference in me & how I look at people who had been in prison. The stories I heard broke my heart. If I made a difference in just 1 life then I guess I fulfilled my purpose on this earth.

He had tears running down his face and asked me, “Miss Terry , you mean that when my momma hit me in the head with a cast iron skillet when I was four years old because I caught the kitchen curtains on fire I wasn’t a bad child?” My heart broke because I realized that man believed all his life he was worthless. When I told him his mother abused him he & I both cried harder as I hugged him.
