Man, just bought the Pro Max 24 PoE a week before this was announced... Ended up issuing a return and bought this instead lol It's only a couple hundred dollars more and I can future proof myself...

Honestly for $1k I would expect four 10gb ports instead of two, and those SFP+ ports to be SFP28 ports instead. This is a really expensive switch for what it is. And while 600w may seem like a lot, and it sort of is for a switch, poe++ is technically a 60w spec, so if you were plugging all your PoE++ devices into this then you can really only use 10-14~ ports before the switch maxes out on power.

you could go enterprise campus, but then ur 2.5x the price. IMHO this is a great spot in between the Max and Enterprise. For practical purposeses ur gonna run 24 ProMax APs (25w) or similar on this thing and its gonna rock..

I just bought a switch Pro Max. I wish I had one of these. I'm gonna see if I can return mine.

If you need the power, it's a great upgrade.

this is basically a 2.5G switch. the 2x10G is the exception

@@tedev correct 22 2.5 ports and 2 10GbE, all with PoE++. It's the first UniFi switch with 10g PoE ++ if ur looking to run E7s...

How was the fan noise? Ranging from absolutely silent, to very low hum, to pretty loud? I would like to get the PoE or maybe Non-Poe for my office but fan noise is an issue. For example my UDM:SE runs silent.

@@DPCTechnology Thank you very much for your reply. I was already looking for a switch with more 2.5GB ports and this could be a perfect switch to consolidate my Pro-24 and Enterprise-8-PoE into a single device. Heck I could probably even remove my Agg I just bought lol. Great video.

Darn, just bought the Pro Max 48 PoE over a month ago. I could have got away with this 24 port instead. I ended up powering my E7 with a 1G PoE++ port while using an SFP+ to RJ45 for the 10G port.

I would expect a 48 port version of the HDs but have no intel.. Sounds like u got it done at a lower budget so Id call that a win...

It's a pretty good price for that much power, but it's not for everyone.
